Not that bad. They’ve perfected standing still and waiting in a line until everyone else starts moving.

You sir, are a gentlemen and a scholar.

BTW, has anyone's voice recovered yet? Mine is still wrecked!

How awesome is it Smokey?!
Voice hoarse, cheeks aching, ripping hangover.
Loving every minute of it!!
Mate it was awesome. Watched the replay again at the pub and we all cheered every goal and sabg the song multiple times.

I finally got to live the dream.

Just recovered from partying. That day at the G is etched in my memory forever. My sister has finally forgiven me for getting her to barrack for Richmond. Br far greatest match I have ever witnessed.

I watched the replay yesterday and it all came back to me. 2 things stood out to me the most... Rance in the second quarter. His desperation saved at least 2 goals. and that relentless pressure in the 3rd quarter was unbelievable. We just willed the ball forward at every contest.

We basically broke them in the 2nd quarter.

I said last week that the second quarter was the key to the game with their +289 points differential. We kept them goalless. Think about that for a second... I heard yesterday that it is their first ever goalless quarter against us. I knew we were gonna win at halftime. they were gone.

What a moment. Benny & Peggy pondering, pondering, pondering......Butler snaps a goal.....and the dam wall starts to crack....

being at the game I missed all of that, but watched it on the replay and you could see their eyes all turning red and you could see they were trying as hard as they could to hold back, but eventually the damn busted. it was beautiful to see. I should also note that Butch Gale (sitting to Peggy's left) had lost it well before then.

It was great to see all the reserves players included after the game..

Wondering if McRae should get some accolades.
Since he started coaching reserves game style and player development seems to have improved and transferred to senior players.

I was at the game, and called it with with 10 mins to go in the 2nd, and I never call things like this. They cracked, we could see it and our boys knew it.

The whole month, the lead up, the Brownlow, the GF and the post game madness in Richmond, Sunday at Punt Rd and our 11th Flag was something I'll never forget. After 37 years of abuse, ridicule, disappointment, fear, attending games, listening to our Tigers at home, in the workshop, at parties, weddings, on TV, riding every bump, kick, tackle and goal - this Premiership was worth it.

We were the best TEAM in the comp and smashed the competition in the Finals - just unbelievable. My hopes now remain on cool heads prevailing at Punt Rd so that we can maximise this list/group and add some more talent and mind manage the group to prepare for the looming battles/mountain in 2018.

It's Official; after this dominant season we've just become Kings of the Football Jungle and the haters will be out in force. Just like it was when I was a boy/teen.

And I'M LOVING IT.

YELLOW & BLACK !!!

When Bruce said we had our foot on their throats about 5 or 10 mins into the 3rd I refused to believe. Reading around and talking to people who watched, I think it was very obvious to non-Richmond supporters that we had them way early in the game. Being Richmond supporters, I think we waited a bit longer. That might be way others found it more boring than us.

For me I didn't consciously think "I think we've got it" until Jacks goal at the start of the 4th. Bachar and Towner goals after Walkers was when I knew we had them. Butler's goal is when the water works started.

At the game, i thought we were on top when i realised they had kicked 4 goals late in the 2nd quarter, even tho we were 10pts down at that point. then we kicked 2 late goals to hit the lead.

watching thru the 3rd, and early in the 4th i thought we were on top but couldnt quite believe. when the crowd started singing the song early in the last i was telling those around me to stop! when it got to about half way thru the last and we were 7 up and they had kicked 7 for the game i knew we were home.

watching the replay yesterday it was apparent we had the game by about midway thru the 3rd.

Being a humble winner myself, it occurred to me that maybe AFL Grand Final day needs another award.

Adelaide were superb during the National Anthem. They won the stare convincingly, only breaking formation a good 5 or 6 seconds after we did. It was a stunning victory and a testament to their courage and endurance.

Maybe all the bitterness from Adelaide supporters flooding talk back , and articles written by journalists across the border could be avoided if they had an award to take home. We could call it the "Focus Legitimus Opus Gloatus" (FLOG award for short).

This could be awarded to the team captain, who would then be referred to as "Captain Flog". They could run a few victory laps and then not turn up for the rest of the afternoon, like Adelaide last Saturday.

Effectively, they could have earned a FLOG award for each of their finals, but imo it would be over kill to make this award after all finals. No this prestigious award should be reserved for the GF alone.

Congratlations Adelaide, you are FLOGS! You all looked like you're about to undertake a stool test.

Jenkins was their star. He spent the whole game staring at Rance.

Is it true that they were practising this during every training session?

What was that staring posing thing by the Crows during the National Anthem? The Rundle Mall Haka? When Don Pyke demanded that his tall forwards "stand up in a finals game" I think Taylor, Josh Jenkins may have misinterpreted.

Btw, On The Couch showed a closeup of part of the stare-off. Brandon Ellis gives them a cheeky smile and an I'm coming for you head nod that would have been scary in Primary School.

I hope that wasn't the point where their resolve disintegrated.

I still haven't been able to watch a replay (I thought I taped it at 10.30 yesterday but 7 had fishing shows on instead!). I've bought a copy off AFL shop but it'll take a few weeks.

So I'm very surprised 7 don't have the game on 7 Plus (thei catch up app). I wonder why?

My default mode/coping mechanism is to assume a loss. Removes nerves for me at the same time.

I kept waiting for Adelaide to kick into gear, and it was only when Lambert goaled in the 3rd quarter to put us up by 28pts that I thought we were a chance. Then I was nervous. Butlers goal was where I got to let go.

Glorious.

Long time lurker, only occasional poster.

Just wanted to say, from where I was sitting (southern wing, only a couple of rows back from the fence!!) that was one hell of a game by the tigers. Hard, fast and skilful - the Tiges absolutely blew the crows off the park. They were made to look scared and slow.

There was one bit of play that I thought apitomized the tigers of 2017: Cotchin had thrown himself into some congestion trying to get the ball and got clobbered. Lying on the grass after being hammered, and in the wrong position and unlikey to "win" the next contest, he could have been excused for taking a short breather. But instead he - somehow propelled himself up and made enough of an impact on the crow to slow him for that split second that it took for another tiger to arrive and bury the crow in the turf.

What a game by the whole 22 !~!

The Fremantle game in round 22 was the defining game for us. It showed the players that they can smash teams and gave them the confidence and belief. We have won by an average winning margin of 56 points in 5 games since. 3 against top 4 sides in finals. The Freo game is the Geelong v us game in 2007 when it catapulted them to 3 flags in 5 years.

Were the fishing shows any good?
