Justin Westhoff - PTA

A small punt on this bloke. He had a great 1st season and looked to have bright future, but then suffered a bit of 2nd year syndrome. But he's big, quick, agile and all the better for the experience - still has a big future

Not a bad punt at all, certainly showed a lot in 2007. Developing his body in the system 2 years more will help him also.

Mathew Stokes - Geel - my small forward.

Great get, was hoping he might be around as a option for me later. Slightly underrated, despite starting to get a bit of attention. Great runner too, elite level I think, not sure. Certainly fast at least.

That makes it Ian G's pick till 11am or whoever is due next after the last pick before 9am.

Was pleasantly surprised to find he had the most contested marks for the whole PTA side. In fact, only Kane Cornes took more overall marks, and we know his are made running all over the ground. Only 25% of Justin's 100 odd marks were inside 50. He tends to do what Richo did early in his career I think, and seems to take them too close to the boundary.

He's a young CHF, but proving quite capable.

Beau Waters, will be an elite small backman.

Ouch. was lining him up myself. Fantastic small defender who often goes on "A" class small forwards who subsequently find it hard to kick goals on him. Great pick.

OK its past 11.00. I pick Josh Hill to be my remaining winger. 2009 will be a big year for him I predict. Fast tall and skillful.

Good pick, there goes one of my dilemmas I was wrestling with.

Same. Though you can't expect to get everything, everywhere. I accepted I was going to miss out on the best of the small forwards by concentrating on my midfield and half forward line of late.

Doesn't stop me from hoping one of you would let one slip through though, but very unlikely considering the priority to me.
