Wouldn;t disagree on his 2007 form - just didn;t make the transistion in 08 to permanent mid when they really needed him. On his 07 form, the Lions would have made the 8 this year - they didn;t, the rest is history

Weren't you the one recently giving advice on here about not judging on this year only, and scolding me for not looking more broadly...oh that's right, that was you trying to justify a 194cm "back up ruckman". :rotfl

;D

sorry have to really disagree with this one.

I agree.

I thought we were about to get a run on HB Flankers.

That's why I took Adam Selwood. I reckon he's the best of the lot.

Meh, seen one Selwood, seen em all ;D

Yes, but only in defence of abject criticism - I said the only knock on Edcock was....... I personally rate him alot (obviously not as much as U2 the Stalker), but noted his 2008 form as a decline. I would acknowledge Lynch's decline as well, but still believe that the big man can play an improved swingman role in 2009 - and I hope Edcock can do the same as a mid. I'd say both players are expected to turn their 2008 form around a little........

Clinton Young - Haw

A nice tall boy for the other wing.

There are names for people like you, you know :-X :hihi

He started the year as crap - but got better and had a good final series. Had him in my Dreamteam too long and then regretted getting rid of him when he did finally produce something.....

Confess, he wasn't even on a secondary list for mine - rightly or wrongly :p

Excellent get. Kicks the ball accurately 60 meters.

Was Best on ground in the Grand Final before injury.

Hawthorn use him extremely well, as that breakout player, who spreads wide after possession is won.

It's funny how we get along so well and can take the *smile* out of each other...

But insult our players...look out! :hihi

Well said mate.

Yep.

I've got the goal kickers. Now I need players to get the ball down there quickly & accurately.

Keeping in mind this guy was a clear second in the Lions B&F in 2007.

Made the 40 man squad for All Australian.

Ranked 1 at Brisbane for kicks, effective kicks and tackles in 2007.

Played 1st 14 rounds as a defender and then blitzed in the midfield (not sure what you guys are saying he failed)...IN the last 8 rounds of 2007 he averaged 23 disposals, 7 contested, 6 inside 50s, and 7 tackles per match. He layed more tackles in that time than anyone in the league and second for inside 50's and frees for. That is a elite midfielder performance!

In total his disposal efficiency was 83% and as a midfielder 81%.

He ranked 18th in Tackles in the league this year (i like tackling players, he's got 10, 11 tackles in games).

Sure he dropped off this year due to a few things but he showed lastyear he could perform at a elite level and he did get 30 possessions this year, showing he can crack it.

I see him as my ultimate lock down type player if i need him as well as a player to play on gun smalls and in the midfield.

No offence DD but my memories of Adcock in 2008 are of the Chimp leaving him in his wake at the Dome when the afterburners kicked in. 8)

Yeah great get, problem with this game is some of these players only more hardcore supporters will rate/acknowledge/be aware of. Has to be considered for mine, though in truth...

He got under my radar too. :duh

I remember that, not quite sure how that rates in the grand scheme of evaluating a player, I'm sure we could all find isolation points on every player picked where they looked bad.

I am very happy with Adcock.

You raise a good point though mate *makes a note to self to check on his pace*

To be fair though, he'd just caught an eyeful of DD in his gold sparkly one-piece jumpsuit and had to dash to boundry for some dry-reaching. They put some blinkers on him for the second half and it wasn;t a problem after that.

Ian da Great......do your stuff!

So my pick again. I was hoping Drummond and Young would fly under peoples radar but its not to be. I'm filling out my spine with Kurt Tippett from Adelaide.

Get out of my bushes you deviant stalker!

OK, thanks for that Ian!

That officially exhausts Cpt's priority list, won't get past him now until he comes back on. I'll Pm him to kill you Ian get another list to me........

Good get, to sit in the goal square.

No offence to Adcock meant, he's a decent player. Just happened to be on the end of the money shot of the season.
