Re: Round 10 player of the year votes vs Freo.

3: Mark Coughlan (all those possessions without being too conspicuous - impressive)
2: Andrew Kellaway (Mr Fearless!)
1: (Bring on the accusations of vice presidential bias if you wish, however I counted at least three in-and-unders from him which resulted in goals to us - and not a single soul here tonight seems to have even given him a passing thought  :()

BTW, did the umpires join in Freo's huddle and sing that ludicrous heave-ho song apres the game? The odd decision usually irks me here and there in a game, however I've never been left so steaming at a good half a dozen-plus decisions that I simply cannae work out before. Sure we tried to close down too early and did some dumb things, but seriously - Polo's "not a mark", Pettifer's "deliberate", Kaptain Kane's "touched" goal, the Duckers' "not touched" goal etc...)

Re: Round 10 player of the year votes vs Freo.

I need to watch the replay to sort out my 3, 2, 1 votes. Plenty of players did well at different stages but overall no-one grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck. When the game was there to be won in the last 7-8 minutes it all came unstuck.

Kellaway did some nice things and covered plenty of territory. Has no fear :shakehead

"Banjo" Pattison did well under pressure. I've never really rated him previously but he stood up last night. Not bad for a 20 year old with plenty of maturing to do.
