the bloke's clearly let his head get bigger than the game, but everyone deserves a second chance. let's hope he comes to his senses and enters rehab, or AA, or counselling, or comes to faith in God or whatever is needed for whatever problems he has (speculation is all we have atm).
i reckon aussies are quick to forgive their sports stars, if and when that star admits he/she has done the wrong thing and wants to make it right.

Back in the day, when I was playing footy and skipping training, I wouldn't have taken too kindly to anyone from the committee rocking up at my house either!

I suspect that in Benny’s case it wasn’t a first offence and the reason for missing training has much less forgivable than Bling’s.

I don't think this has a lot to do with missing a training session..
In using tough language such as this, one feels this may be the straw that broke the camel's back.
Gooding said the suspension could last for up to a year, depending on when Cousins was ready to overcome his issues and play football again.
"It will depend entirely on when we believe Ben is an appropriate condition to come back to the club once he has overcome his private and personal issues," Gooding said.
"That may be weeks, it may be months, it may be a year."

Poor old ben, seems like he's got some real problems. Can't see him changing. My tigersnake senses tell me the Judd camp will be contemplating an exit from a culture that seems rotten to the core. Wonder when his contract is up.
