Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

If this is Judds decision to hold off, then Greg Miller should book the helicopter for a scenic tour of Portsea.

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

It is alleged that the fight with Embling and Chick eventuated after there was a chat about Cousins getting some "treatment" for a problem he might have. Cousins strongly denied he had a problem and the frustrations from the other two came to the fore.

As said in an earlier post, pity the Club didn't act five years ago when ths issue was raised.

Listening on the net to 6PR - the boys Barich, Hardie and Langdon have said Cousins was late for a Club function Sunday and looked worse for wear.

Surely this has to be most impressive premiership hangover of all time.

Prescription drugs scandals, flatlining, former captains asked to stay away from the club indefinately, teammates punching on....

they party hard in Perth.
Sure do,but they still manage to perform on the footy field.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Much more to come on this one.

Makes sense scoop, he's the unofficial LEADER at the club, and let's face it, we follow leaders in more than just work habits, but also socially and attitude. it makes sense that a whole series of eagles could have similar 'issues'

Hey there's a trio of alter boys!

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

There's people out there who can take one look at you and tell if you are under the influence of illegal substances or if you are a continual user. ;)

People out there knew Cousin's was galavanting around, his club knew, his team mates knew, & his partner would have known.

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

So let me get this straight. Judd, Kerr, Cousins and Embley wont be at the Eagles next year?

That doesn't sound silly at all AT.

If that's the case it's another clear case for free agency.

Ur right their Disco about free agency,

I mean what about Kerr, he is going out with Cousins sister and he has got off the rails too, cousins perhaps a bad influence on young Kerr...

Interesting thread but don't write Cousins off just yet.

Young people recover from amphetamine addiction all the time.

I would seriously doubt though that he can get his game together in Perth as even if he does stay clear he will be returning to an organization that hasn't been able to contol the problem in the past and quite evidently has similar ongoing issues with the likes of Fletcher and Kerr.

By the way this has gone though with WC suddenly and unusually taking a firm line, and with Cousins having been drug tested only yesterday, it seems likely to me that Cousins is one of the several on two strikes anyway and that WC are anticipating another positive result and a lengthy disqualification. In other words nothing to lose.

Adding it all up I reckon Cousins may have played his last game for the West Coast. If so Ben will be looking for a new home, probably in Melb next year. If I am right then any Melb Club that doesn't look at taking him on would be mad.

It would be a brave club that signed a veteran player with alleged known addictions.
With our young list I wouldn't be trumpeting Cousin's arrival at Punt Road.

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

Forget about picking up the scraps, any player who decides to leave West Coast will have a massive price tag placed on him by the Eagles.

If a Judd type decides to walk away it will cost a arm and a leg no matter what the club has happening around it. Same with a Embely, Kerr any one with vaule.

And Judd will not leave. He will be the building block that the Eagles need, there shining light.
Do you think that th eEagles would get rid of him? If he says move COusins and Keer or I am gone, they will trade them. In these circumstances Judd is worth more to that club then ever before.

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

OK, lets start the deal...........Cousins to Richmond for who, what the hell do we have that they'll be interested in?

Maybe a Coughlan walking freely on two legs? With maybe a Jack Reiwoldt? And a Newman?

Thoughts?

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

Wouldn't swap Cogs and Jack for Cousins in a mad fit.

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

Cousins is the last thing we need in the pleaasant, well-behaved club ;)

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

Oh *smile*, I thought he said Judd, lol. Cousins? No thanks gpb.

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

Teams like Collingwood and Sydney would bid Judd to horrendously expensive levels-trade wise and money wise.

We should forget about Judd.imo

As far as Cousins goes I'd grab him for sure. He'd be a bargain-like Fev was.

But I'm sure most will post 'we don't want him here!'

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

Cousins is interested let's say, his management have flown over, it's in every paper in the land that Cousins has been hypnotised by Greg Miller's smooth talking.

What can we trade?????
