Fantastic chase. Well done my Carey.

Awesome test. We might have some batsmen down ATM but someone always stands up.

Geez Cummins is clutch isn't he.

Cummins should open and Steve Smith should go back to making crap Optus ads. Cummins is money, has improved his batting so much.

Bad luck New Zealand, and well played.
But you know they say, winners are grinners and losers can please themselves.

Nic Maddison had been in good form (3 tons from his last 5 shield innings) but I know he won’t be given a go.
Rightly.

Great knock Carey, deserved a ton.

If there was a fielder's version of 'bring him on from both ends' you'd be shouting it about Ravindra. Terrible fielder, what a soda.

Better batsman and keeper.

Tim is. Yep agreed.

Paine edges him on averages 32 Vs 31. Nothing in it.

No slight on Carey but Paine clearly the better keeper. Nathan Lyon would know better than you, me or anyone on this planet and on record that Tim is the best keeper he's bowled to.

Carey does have time to lift his batting though.

Carey looks great batting. Until today it never really translated to the results I thought those looks deserved. Should derive a great deal of confidence from that knock.

Tasmania 5/48 (were 5/32) against Sa who scored 271 in their first innings. There's a mathematical chance that Tassie might blow their chance of hosting a home final if the lose to Sa.

Edit

Now 6/53.

With Tassie on top of the ladder by 5.87 points, I don't know why they produced one of the greenest wickets I've seen......madness.

Victoria also batting themselves out of the final, 9/124

What a shield game, along with Tassie v Sa game.

The Vic's lost their last 6 wickets for 33 runs, Wa in their 2nd innings are 4/31. My man Fergus O'Niell has taken 3 of the wickets. I wonder if he's Peggy's secret love child:cool:

There's been 24 wickets in Vic's V Wa and 25 in the Tassie v Sa in a day and and a half.

The Vics batting lineup has become very fragile.

Where's Maxi? Doesn't he still harbor Test aspirations? Vics playing with 5 batsmen.

Didn't make himself available for selection. Said won't be here for the Shield Final as going to IPL.

Yet Wade made himself available for Tas and got dispensation from his IPL team to arrive a few days late so can also play the final.
