Yet another swearing reminder

Too much time is being taken up editing swearing from posts. The disappointing thing is it's longtime PREnders who are guilty, not newcomers who aren't aware of the rules.

Quite often people quote the swearing too so all those posts have to be edited as well.

It's not acceptable to type in *smile* or fu"king etc. If you feel the need to swear to get rid of your frustrations please type in the full word and let the swear filter edit it so others don't have to read it. Ta. :hearton

Sorry rosy, I get a bit carried away sometimes and try and sidestep it. You're right there is no need for it.

But sometimes its very hard, but its been a lot easier since our former coach has left.

If the swearing is allowed for one person it has to be allowed for everybody.  I'm sure the majority here would prefer PRE not to be like some other sites where every second word is some abusive expletive.

But got to agree with Rosy - my kids love this site - even though they are fans of the Swans and they really don't need to see swear words here - I know they get to hear it in the school yard, at the local footy and in the big shopping plazas (little terrors probably swear as much as the next kid too) But they do not need it thrust in their face here on PRE - IMO

The Tigers were (when I was a lad - a long time ago) always for the family - Mum, Dad and the kids - let that one tradition continue..........

I was suprized by the lack of swearing, I did n't know about the Swear Filter or the Edit Feature,
