Win a copy of KB's new book

Comment after finishing runner-up in the '77 Brownlow - "There's always next year." Encapsulates the eternal optimism of future generations of Tiger supporters!

Loved the jumper presentation speech he did before the Port Adelaide game last year. Words were inspring, painting a bright future.

We won the game in the wet

Popped out to Norflands this morning and grabbed a copy of the book and had it signed by KB.

An honour to meet the man who I watched countless times in the 1980 GF video during my RFC induction as a kid.

Favourite player was Royce but I have to confess that I watched KB the most as I was a rover and there was no better reader of the ball off a pack than KB, and no better finisher either!

A day when i was in South melbourne in the early 90's and i happened to run into KB at a cafe.. After getting over being awestruck i garnered the courage to ask him a question.. i only had one question for him at the time, as i was devastated as to what was going on with the RFC and was going through a down period of wanting to even watch a game of footy. He was standing at the counter and i looked at him and said hi, he gave a broad grin back and said hello back. i then asked him

" Kevin do you still like Richmond, because i'm getting sick of all the sh!t going on there" He looked at me still smiling and said i'll always like the Tigers and you should to because they're a great club being run bad at the moment, have faith they will be back up the top soon enough..

"Kev, I'm still bloody waiting"

Reminder entries close midnight tonight. KB will be the judge and the winner will be announced early next week.

No one could beat KB.
The league changed the rules to try and beat him.
That didn't work either!

KB, true legend of the game!

watching the tigers with KB as coach beat the blues on a friday night in the late 80s from a hotel in Ballarat. Last v first, and we won!.

For me, KB means watching the 1980 GF video with my Grandpa during the school holidays while my parents were at work.

Or, the HUNGRY 400 poster my Dad put on my wall as a little fella. I don't think I even knew who KB was when it first went up above my bed.

Have read and enjoyed the book.

It left me wondering about 2 things. Was it just an urban myth that Kevin wouldn't return to the club until a particular board member had left the building. It was a different story told in the book.

Is all that memorabilia in KB's house or in the Tiger museum? An amazing collection of bits and pieces.

RFC Social Club GF night 1980, KB goalkicking highlights on the TV news, the whole crowd as one double fist pumping each goal....

Thanks very much to Rhett and KB for both the donation of the book and for judging our competition.

Their top 3 and Rhett's comments-

1 Bunnerz great memory of going to a Richmond Social Club function dressed as a cowboy and the old man presenting him with the best dressed prize. That struck a cord to both of us, as Dad has fond memories of the supporters week in week out heading back to the social club to celebrate or commiserate the club (especially during the dark days of 1988-1991). Plus one of my earliest footy memories is of dressing up for the Richmond Social Club function (I went as Charlie Chaplin)

2 Brodders memory of the Tigers beating Carlton in the night game. The fact he watched it in a Ballarat Hotel has to give him points

3. Chiang Mai Tiger's memories of an 80yr old lady 'sticking up' for KB when a supporter yelled abuse at him. Don't miss with Richmond supporters as Dad would no doubt have said at the time.

Congratulations Bunnerz. :partyfest

Please let me know your details to post the book to.
