Following the success of our last competition to win the new Tommy Hafey book we now have a competition to win the new KB book. Thanks to both EJC and Rhett for their generous donations.

Both books are available for purchase from the club.

To have a chance to win "KB A Life In Football" tell us, in 25 words or less, about a favourite KB memory.

Entries close Sunday 14th August at midnight.

7 Goals 1980 Grand Final.
To this day Stan Magro cannot recognise KB face to face.
Only ever saw a clean pair of heels!

An 80+ year old Richmond lady trying to swat a burly 30 something Melbourne supporter with an umbrella for abusing Bartlett at the G.

A most memorable occasion. Was lucky enough to be invited to KB's "Roast." Sat with the late Ron Casey. KB was articulate and funny.

The hundreds of games I played, rain, hail, or shine, as Kevin Bartlett in my front yard. Kicking the ball countless times through the trees after the siren to win the Premiership for my Tigers.

Hard to put into words, but while Footy is a team sport, I will always attribiute the following to KB

Some great entries. Maybe those who have gone over 25 words would like to edit their entries so they qualify for the prize?

I suppose a lot here never saw KB play. Feel free to make something up or relate a story you've been told or had a dream about or... :shhh

KB's moving eulogy for Jack- "Jack played at a time when players played for the love of the game. And the game loved Jack Dyer,"

From a "youngster" who can't remember his playing days.....

That he came and coached us when we were on our knees...no money to buy players yet his commitment to his club never waivered.

asking dad if i could have fish 'n' chips, so i could be big and strong like KB. Always worked ;D

One of my enduring memories of KB is a game V StKilda late 70's.
He picked up the ball and spun around a pack but Val Perovic smacked KB right across the chops, a real beauty that put him down for a minute or two. KB refused to go off, afterall there was a goal to kick. He duly drilled it from about 45 out. If that wasn't enough KB got 3 of the next 4 goals to sink the saints. Even the little guys had t be tough in the 70's.

That goal he kicked in the 1980 GF on Magro. Even the Collingwood cheer squad gave him a standing ovation.

The Richmond Cheer Squad outside VFL House when he was reported. Never had the competition seen such support for a player over a report.

going to my first richmond social function dressed as a cowboy then KB presnting me with a toy helicopter for being best dressed.
