My top 5 in no particular order

Phil Dunphy is a fabulous character, brilliantly acted in Modern Family
Martin Crane was grumpily great in Frasier
Frank Costanza sets the bar for dad insanity in Seinfeld
George Bluth Snr lives up to the show title in Arrested Development
Frank Barone deserves a mention in Everybody Loves Raymond
 
Bobby Rivers
Homer Simpson
Mike Rostenkowski
Michael Kyle
Jim - According to Jim(Not sure if they ever used a surname)

Given time of year, thought I'd revisit this.
Watching Everybody Loves Raymond, and impressed with the work of Peter Boyle as Frank Barone.
