What is Hardwick referring to?

"If any player that comes under my coaching reign should be moved on, retire, or be de-listed....once he leaves the club...I want them to say they've had every opportunity to improve as a player, and they've actually improved not only on-field but off-field (as a person).
Summed up perfectly

Everyone should stop speculating and just read this again

This is what Hardwick said today, I have feeling he could be referring to our very own Deledio.

Any thoughts?
No

Sounds like an oblique reference to our poor player development record.

Sure does, our development of players over the last decade plus has been nothing short of PATHETIC. The times are changing, we've now got a coach who not only thinks he can improve himself, he wants the players to do likewise and no excuses will be tolerated. Good its about time.

He was talking about all players that come to Richmond.
He wants all players to be able to say they had the best chance to get the best put of themself.

If anything, it would be a shot at Terry not speaking to the younger players. Eg, Post said he spoke to Terry maybe 2-3 times before he got into the senior team.

Hardwick is just saying he'll give every player the best chance to realise their potential.
