Welcome to Tigerland Liam Fawcett -: pick 43 2023

Good size, good movement, aggressive, one big mark and goal, plenty of smarts. More doom and gloom!

Gets up the ground. Quick hands. Good below his knees. First touch was a massive pack grab, followed by a goal with his first kick.

Very encouraging.

Edit - the mark wasn’t his first touch. I forgot the quick hands + feed out to a teammate in the square for a snap that unfortunately missed

I'm all on board, he looks class.

Everyone at the ground was surprised by the quality of that mark.

It did not look like it had been taken by a VFL player.

He also looked clean, strong and composed in the contest. Even though he hasnt played a game since before he was drafted.

What I liked most outside of the contested mark, was his ability to pick the right option.

There was the mark he took inside F50, turned and someone was running super close to him (might have been Coulthard) but he assessed his options, and gave the handball the other way and into the goal square.

Had another one where he picked up a loose ball on the wing, easy handball was back out to the wing (to his right) but he quickly assessed the options and gave a more difficult option off to his left to open up the corridor (think that was in the 4th quarter).

We didn't see a lot of him, but I thought that pretty much everything he did was really good and showed real footy smarts.

Was probably the highlight of the day.
If we’ve got a key forward already on our list it changes our strategy heading into the draft..
I'd be very surprised and a bit disappointed if we decided to ignore our KPF needs yet again on the back of a few VFL games from a kid we took in the third round.

Kosi and Ryan making this guy look like a superstar in the making. Lol
Gone passed them both in his first two minutes on the ground in a VFL game. 😂
Looks as exciting as a baby Richo.
Agility, mobility, aggressiveness, skills and awareness looked very good considering it was his first game from a long lay off. Was the highlight of the day with Ross, FOS and Blight moving into 2025.

Ummm. That key forward has played all of a partial VFL game after missing the year with a dodgy back. If there's a quality junior key forward available available for us with a later first round pick, then I'll be happy for us to take him.

Yeah there’d be a pick around 10-15 we can use

Or just trade for Cadman in a coupla years

If he plays a full VFL game v Carlton this weekend what are the chances he makes an AFL debut v GCS?
