Welcome to Tiger land Riley Collier’Dawkins

I just hope they give the kid 2-3 games and not just drop him based on 1 game against the best midfield in the comp

He will be nervous and will take time to adapt to the speed of the game with doggies having all the guns in the side

What is he referring to there?

Maybe that was when he was talking about Stacky and CCJ on the Gold Coast

He would have meant off-ball positioning
Yep. Dimma is all about field coverage, position over possession, and more jumpers in the screen. He's 100 times more concerned about what you do without the ball than what you do with it. It's a proven method.

Let's hope that Hardwick plays him to his strengths and doesn't do what he does to Ross.

Hmm, I won’t accept it’s a proven method til I hear Kane Cornes and Damian Barrett say it is.....

Exciting to see another debutant this year.

RCD stepped up in that VFL Grand Final, so he might one of those guys who thrive under pressure. In the pre-season game he almost did some excellent things, but hadn’t adjusted to the pace. He’ll be conscious of pulling the trigger faster this week. Do these tomorrow night and he could exceed everyone’s expectations.

But I guess the biggest challenge for him is doing all that while getting his off-field positioning right so the coach keeps him on-field next week.

Tough gig being a midfielder, but they also have the most impact if they can handle it.

Yes, I am wondering whether the increased pressure might actually help, hoping he is one of those players who thrives in the faster more pressured environment of the 1sts.

I just listened to the presser. He said 'off-ball'. Journos are deaf as well as stupid.

Hope he's not sub. I don't like the idea of debuting someone in a game where they might not get on the field.

Just watched his highlights package from last week, not all that inspiring. Where was the explosion from packs that Clarke the recruiting manager, said he possessed when drafted? He shrugged off two tackles which won't happen on Friday night. There's no leg drive like Shai, Cotch and meatball so he needs more starting sprint work using those ropes with someone running behind him forcing him to DRIVE with those legs not just run on top of the ground. At least his disposal by foot was accurate because he had time to deliver but this Friday he won't be given that time. Feels like it will be a baptism of fire.
