Welcome to Tiger land Riley Collier’Dawkins

Has had a so so year. But... played his best footy in finals. That's a huge plus. Long way to go but the graph is trending up.

I liked his last 2 games, has really imposed himself. He stood up to heat of finals football and got better, a very good sign.
Has 14 tackles the last 2 games, He doesn't get enough of the ball, but had 15 disposals in the GF, which would be close to the most that he's had all season.
I like how he had the confidence to want the handball from Pickett (Pickett could've quite easily kicked the goal) and then calmy slotted the goal.

The club plonked him in the centre well before he was ready. They kept him there even though the output was not there because they had the long term plan for him.

Isn't it great we can properly develop these kids

Many went for this kids head way too early, couple more pre seasons of building his tank and getting use to his size and imho we will have a very good player, my only concern is his field kicking, his a bit Dangerfield ( good luck Patrick) like , with his burst speed and wobbly punts
Riley Clanger-Dawkins you think?
But we all know Clangerfield cant kick a goal on the run from 40 at training let alone at a key point in a GF.

Wouldn't be pinning my hopes on MRJ from what i have seen thus far.
From my APS spy’s, there is no doubt he has some work to do but he has full support from Scotch and Tigers in getting himself in football condition.
Will be given time by the Tigers to develop at VFL.

Ive been saying it all year. One or two preseasons to build his strength and he will be getting more than his hands free from contested possessions. That burst of speed from the pack is electric.

RCD is a Salesian Boy. The only other famous Salesian alumni is Ronald Ryan

Yep MRJ, came into the club a month back and met with dietitions and conditioning guys and a plan was put in place so will be given every opportunity.

It says a lot about a player who can go to another level in big games. Some guys can be intimidated when playing in finals, we've seen plenty of them over the years. RCD & CCJ showed yesterday that they have the sort of temperament required to handle finals pressure.

Apparently, at the request of RFC, they’ve taken turtle meat off the menu from the canteen at Scotch College.

Really looking forward to the progress that RCD makes. If he can continue on from how he finished off last season he will play AFL footy next season.

RCD hogs a fair bit of the footage accompanying McQualter's 1min 30sec pre-season camp preview must be an Omen ;)

Riley will take a lot of confidence from the VFL grand final and will truly believe he belongs at the level and similar with Ross also playing seniors and on the cusp of AFL grand final.

Looking foward to these 2 boys along with another 5-6 coming through together and being part of the next wave

Its these up and coming kids that are keeping the more established players in the firsts honest. Bodes well for our future

What’s his running capacity like?

If he can learn Bellis’ running patterns on the wing, it might be a nice way to introduce him into the 22.
