Welcome to the Tigers Oleg Markov

Didnt get much of it, but got a hospital pass in the backline, dropped it but recovered well, fought off two hawks and cleared the ball. Looks like a cool head.

Good to see Oleg making the emergency list. Nice carrot.
Yes - looking forward to his first game - I have a sneaky feeling that this bloke could be a real player.....showed nice pace and composure in the NAB games - Will need to build up to it, but getting named emergency suggests he may not be too far off...

Yeah - Lids was pretty clear #1 draft pick in his year. I still remember first time seeing him with the group warming up on the MCG before one of his early games ...I went down to the fence to have a closer look at them....and as an 18 year old coming in new after only his first pre season he still looked way fitter than the others. Thoroughbred. Whilst Oleg might not be quite up to Lids level, he does have a lot to like....( speaking of thoroughbreds he even has good breeding!)

Possible Deledio replacement down the track? Has some of the attributes - but still, probably wishful thinking.
I actually think that Oleg is a VERY good replacement for Lids. Very similar attributes IMO. Both 188 although Oleg is 16Kg lighter ATM. Both very quick, Both amazing hands and leap. He will certainly be a player. I love his enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Has come on quickly like Rioli.

I love that in a newbie. They get into a professional environment and they just hit it really hard, soak it up and show some real development quickly. It's a good sign - shows they're focused, tougher than they look (see Menadue) and not over-awed.

High hopes for this bloke. I was surprised he wasn't drafted when eligible in 2014, and I was far from on my Paddy.

16kg lighter? Wow! Really liked the look of him in the NAB Challenge. Looking forward to seeing him at senior level - glad the sub rule is gone as he will have a full game to work his way into it.

If he has another good game I would bring him on next week.

The future is these kids. We have to find out if our kids or mature aged can play.

16 kgs lighter? Wow. Didn't think that.

Like the look of him.!

Excuse me if ive missed somethin'. I ben away.

I'd like to submit a late nickname nomination (entries close on de-but dont they?)

"Snorri Sturluson"

Viking Shakespeare.

One wild, wild, wordsmith.

Snorri would do.

It's one moment in one game but the video of him running, bouncing and kicking a 50 metre goal on saturday in the vfl is a thing of beauty. Looks seriously quick but also is a very smooth mover.

I have no idea if he can play or not but I loved watching that ☺

I saw that as well. Very impressive. He was named as an emergency a few weeks back. Must be close for a call up.

The real pleasing thing is, it's the exact skill set that we savagely lack. It's pleasing to see Frank getting that much right.

And it was a belting run/goal. You can't teach that.

Wax Off. We need a good Russian sounding name in the AFL. It'll take the heat off Essendon.
