Welcome to the Tigers Nathan Broad

I prefer him to Markov.

For some reason, I think he and Caddy will both find a way back in for finals. We're a better team with both in imo.

I prefer Broad to Markov in defence and always have offers greater versatility with bigger forwards.

I would like to see Markov running the arcs on a wing.

Pickett into the midfield rotation.

If Grimes and Lambert return for the Cats game I'd put Oleg onto a Wing. His pace would make him a dangerous outlier in the same way Jetta was used by the Swans and Hill by the Hawks.

Where’s Broady at now? Was surprised he got dropped once but now twice.

Yes I think it’s more than coincidence that broad was rumoured to be moving to the Gold Coast and then has fallen out of favour. I hope not.

Loved seeing Broady in the rooms just before they ran out on the field, encouraging everyone.
Must have been an emergency.

Has def bought in to the team culture at Richmond.

I reckon he's pretty well regarded by his team mates.

so do we agree that Broady and Oleg are fitting out the 7th defensive spot?

lets unpack it and try understand it

Broady has 4cm and 7kg on Oleg; Oleg probably beats Broady by 2 lengths over 20m (broadly is quick, but Oleg is quicker)

If you turn to the stats;

from 13 games, Broady averaged 11 disposals/4 marks/2 tackles and gained 200m

from 6 games, Oleg averaged 11 disposals/3 marks/1 tackle and gained 260m

from that, the only significant difference by the dogs balls obvious test,

is metres gained?

Oleg goes forward more?

I dunno, Broady is surely more likely to sydensmosis Charlie Cameron early in a GF than Oleg?

Broady slipping out of the team feels a bit like where McIntosh was last season.
Wasn't playing bad footy necessarily but has been surpassed by others or at least pushed out by an evolving gameplan.
It's quite something to have a 2 x premiership defender unable to establish his position. Must be frustrating for him.

Very difficult to work out.
Broady is harder at the contest and better overhead.
Do they think Oleg is better minding the small forwards through agility?
This one has me scratching my head as difference in metres gained is not significant enough to keep a Premiership player out. Broad’s experience in big games surely gives him the nod? I also believe that apart from his last 2 games, he was possibly enjoying his finest season.
Fascinating.

I still reckon Broad was in our top 3 in the B&F after the first 8 rounds. Which again is similar to where Kamdyn was last season before he got dropped after a quiet game or two.

The run and carry where jack tapped it to lynch who missed a sitter is why the mc want oleg ahead of broad

We are after quick transition from our backline - think we are 2nd or 3rd for goals from the back half

No I don’t think either are going to be the 7th defender.

I think we will go... 2 key defenders balta and astbury

2 interceptors grimes and vlastuin.

3 runners/distributors in Houli baker and short

Markov if he stays in will move up to the wing/high forward mid rotations with Pickett, kmac, Rioli and lambert. .

Don’t see any spot fir broad unfortunately.
