Welcome to Richmond Tyson Stengle

Made some good decisions and executed well under heat last year against Port. He knows where his body is in relation to the play. That’s a skill that’s hard to measure, and Shai really struggled with it the other night. Offensively, we could have done with the wombat. If he was half a yard quicker I don’t reckon they’d hesitate to pick him.

The two knocks on Stengle are his pace and his tank, both of which don't allow him to be defensive weapons like Butler, George and Rioli. The kid can play but does not suit our gameplan.

His tank is getting better, (getting brief stints in the midfield), is not slow just not as quick as the other small brigade, has superior football IQ, creates more goals than he kicks himself. Ready for another crack in the ones IMO.

Pendlebury is slow, but always knows exactly how much time he has. Stengle has a similar trait. Better than some roadrunner who thinks he has all the time in the world.

Footy IQ is the key, stengle just seems to know where the ball will be. IMO should be a straight swap for Bolton.

Finals are approaching. It's too late to be gifting games for the development of Bolton. Tried. Failed.

Time to see if Stengle is first understudy to the three amigos in September.

Perhaps Baker might be an even better choice, apparently quicker seems more than useful inside from the VFL reports?

Stengle is quick over 5 metres but his real strength is his core which sees him stay on his feet more than most

6 goals and 26 touches... must reward that effort. If he isn’t upto it or doesn’t possess what the coaches desire - then why is he on the list? Give him a run.

Has he been tackled this year yet?

His ability to evade tackles at VFL level is amazing Toots he really has great vision and poise when confronted with a tackler.

Im sure hell get collared more at AFL level but he has skill he has class he needs to be given a go.

He kicks goals too and knows how and when to be in the right spot so can read the play well.

Will do better than Corey or Shai in their efforts well certainly couldnt do any worse, id be comfortable with Tyson lining up for a goal moreso than George or Moore or Cotch.
