Keep playing him unless he falls off like Gibcus has.
we need our younger players to gain experience to see if they can play at AFL level as we’ll have a few retirements in the next couple of years.

You can see he has "it".

Back to VFL for now though.

Lablett to take his spot when he can play.

George, Cumberland or Stack next in line.

For a newcomer learning on the big stage he does some nice things and has the knack to be in the right place at times..Tries hard but overawed at times but is part of our future

Got inside a couple of times against the Cats and was brushed aside. Not surprising. We want him outside and running further. Not sure he'll get another chance to do that in the seniors this week but you never know.

I am tempted to keep the same side v WCE (other than Cotchin in for Prestia)

That was a red hot game against the snipers and a lot to be learnt from it for the kids. I would give then another game at least. See what they can do on the back up against slightly lesser opposition.

Impressive again today with his pace, ball handling and foot skills. Noticed him on the wing at centre bounces a few times. Is certainly giving the selectors something to think about.

Exciting to watch. He reminds me (in the way he moves) of someone, just can't put my finger on who.

This Kid Has it , Certainly not overawed stepping up a grade and looks to have built up both his body and game since last year

We have a player

Might be the smokie that could sneak into the side for the season opener especially if he has another good outing next week.

I just hope we err toward playing players on form and not reputation more this year...this kid deserves a crack. I know we have sacred cows like >insert premiership player here< , but sometimes they have to make way.

As old mate Moonface once famously said " I like the boy ". Lot to like about young Clarkey's footy, steps up nicely at senior level.

Had a few bungles yesterday. I like that. Taking risks. Losing. After each he lifted and urgently addressed the *smile* up.

One in particular. He *smile* up at HBF arc. Coughed it up. Sagged off and set a teaser for his opponent. Intercepted brilliantly and at full pace then iirc laid that beautiful ball off to Martin.

I like this response to failure. A lot.

I reckon he'll get games early, then if we're smart we'll drop him back a grade for winter. I wouldn't be surprised if he's back in by September, though. When they're running on top of the spring ground, he projects as a tasty cherry.
