Welcome Josh Gibcus

Matt Clarke just said on Talking Tigers post draft podcast that Gibcus has run a 6.17sec 2km time trial, that is pretty impressive.
They have mentioned he has good closing speed but haven't seen a 20m sprint time, anyone know? @bullus_hit maybe?

Matty Clarke refuted 197cm on Talking Tigers post draft podcast and said he is 196cm, (neither here nor there when you can leap tall buildings).
Im betting he gets listed at 193cm on the RFC website when it gets uploaded

Not as good as Heppell and another Essendon player rocking up at the London Tavern to welcome Hobbs personally.
Essendon players at the London!! That's worse than a tier 1 covid outbreak, better be disinfected before round 1.

in the old days, Jack Dyer and his crew would have taken to them with fence palings, probably off @caesar 's front fence.

Not around in Jack Dyer days but plenty of fence palings went missing off my front fence sometimes found on my roof, before I thought it wise to replace it with something that was less destructible.

Did you happen to find my membership from 2016?

The Essendon boys must be dreaming what it must be like to live and train in Richmond. Versus Tullamarine.

More importantly, better be disinfected before the next C&C catch up!

Gibcus compared to Miller and Tarrant at training.

Got a bit more mail, St Kilda were gutted that Gibcus didn't get through to them, they had him ranked at 5 for the entire year and had him in their tier 1 with the other guys taken in the first four. They didn't think he was a chance to get through to their pick at all until a couple of hours before the draft when they got word that GWS were convinced they could get him at 8 and were close to a deal with Freo, found out via a player manager about the possible deal. Saints had Gibcus ahead of Andrew by a margin. And they think he had the potential to go forward. St Kilda had Richmond wanting Josh Ward if he was on the board ahead of Gibcus.
Twomey’s article franks this mail, we tried to trade up into Hawthorns pick to take Josh Ward.

My understanding was the Hawks were the ones trying to trade back in return for either another 2nd rounder or a combination to get our #15 and we didnt want to trade up for Ward

We wanted to trade up for Ward, the Hawks had Ward and Johnson as their decision at 7. Hawks could've got Johnson at our pick and tucked away another second-rounder or 15 but they preferred Ward. We wanted Ward.
