Welcome Derek Eggmolesse Smith

A shame as Egg showed some real potential. With our game style everyone needs to go when its their turn, and unfortunately he had a couple of moments where he should gone harder.

Port game revealed a major flaw, pity his kicking was elite.

Besides what has been pointed out around hardness and pace of the game. The less rotations is also going to hurt him. Doesn’t have the endurance to spend enough TOG for a backline player.

Pity - but could be a great pickup for a WAFL club where his skills would be an asset
Could see him do better than even the VFL or whatever it’s gonna be next year
Anyway I hope he has a good playing career

Disappointing for Egg being cut today.
Plenty of skill & looked a possible Houli replacement but perhaps a lack of professionalism ultimately cost him.
If he didn't play in that Port Adelaide game he would've stayed on the list.
That game highlighted how far away he is being a regular in a top 4 side.
Not surprised

Yes.
That game ( by the looks of it now ) was his ‘delisting on show’.

Still think we could have worked at the ‘deficiencies’ but the club obviously thought that , that part of his game couldn’t??
After that game I must admit I had him gone too and I feel bad for thinking it.

Has so many tools to make it, so i hope someone picks him up.

There is a new rule (yesterday?) that players can be moved directly from the main list to the rookie list, avoiding doing it via the draft.
That Eggs wasn't shifted to the rookie list is a clear statement
Sure is...

Something else is amiss there???

He was already a rookie.

Using that logic, how did Chol survive after Adelaide/Brisbane farce?

Good question. Chol shows some good skills but also some terrible efforts and very limited interactions with the game.

Probably we feel we have no depth in that position. Explains Miller's retention too.
That’s why I think.
Our lack of talls, Soldo’s long term injury and CJ suspension saved one or both boys..

He was a Cat A I believe as I don't think Cat B's can play AFL unless another rule has changed.
Thanks Posh.
Thought so..

Not 100% sure of your second point so someone could clarify for both of us but that could explain it in regards to Eggy.

Tad unlucky. Shown more than Garthwaite & Miller. Not that I have seen much of Miller but still unlucky compared to those 2.
