We must be the WORST at losing close games over the last few years

1 win out of 14 one goal or less margin games since 2021 is diabolical. We were also adept at losing the close ones pre coming good in the second half of 2017. Dimma needs to work it out, because its become both predictable and embarrassing. Blind Freddy could see last nights close loss coming from the very start of the last quarter, when we 16 pts up.

i dont think the issue is we dont know how to win close games but more so our inability to run out the last 20 mins of games

we are always fading fast in these close games, not just the last 2 mins, but most of the last quarter

so i think its more about fitness and youth

Gold Coast. Loss. 2 points - last 4 goals including one after the siren. Castagna blows 3 on 1 inside 20m goal
Nth Melb. Loss. 4 points - 1-9 from sets shots, aarts plays on instead of set shot
Fremantle. Draw - balta ignores 30 second clock, Cumberland plays on after siren
Brisbane. Loss. 2 points - lynch / arc, 5 defenders up and no one down
Carlton. Draw - this one we squared up late
Bulldogs. Loss. 5 points - no choke here / poor goal kicking throughout game
Essendon. Loss. 1 point - nank drops mark, mansell out on full, Riewoldt kicks to Essendon player late instead of forcing ball up

Some big chokes and bone head plays in there. 2 honorable draws.
