Virtual Game Day thread - Richmond vs Aints Rnd 3

Dusty operating in 1st gear only. Takes an occasional look up to see if the ball is coming his way. Selfies with supporters on the boundary fence. Seems to be mostly St Kilda supporters asking for a photo.

Currently on 3 goals, 1 behind, 4 Don't Argues, 25 selfies and a VB stubbie.

TV cameras cut to the St Kilda coaching box as the game quickly unravels for the Saints.

Brett Ratten's unfeasibly large head seems to have only grown pinker since he last coached.

Alan Richardson starts sh!t tweeting during the second quarter with a series of zingers including this pearl:

"Glad some other poor bastard is now saddled with this bunch of second-rate off cuts"

Half time entertainment consists of Auskick kids in bubble soccer balls practicing sensible social distancing.

Some poor production assistant is called onto the ground by the match day host to play the cannily themed "Beat the virus" game. Let's hope he doesn't do a hammy trying to outrun those fast-moving droplets of sputum!

Tiges now up by 66 points early in the third term.
A reminder from Derwayne that was the year the Aints last won their one & only flag..

Shai Bolton dances around Brad Hill like he's standing still.
Pumps it deep into the forward line & up & coming Tiger Cal Coleman-Ottens takes the mark of the day, posterising Max King in the process.
Drills the goal. Tiges now up by 72.

Cal Coleman-Jones now on the bench with the tracksuit top on. Doctor says he's suffering from oxygen deprivation due to the thinner air at the altitude that he took that mark.

Will be available next week.

Press conferences pending. Ratts expected to try and explain how his team's 34 extra inside 50s translated into a 15-goal loss.

great workmanlike win.

a side who knows its only April, but still able to toy with the opposition, like an octopus with a cube of feta cheese.

Marlin Pickett can freeze time. I think he is Scott Pendleburrys twin brother, but Pendlebury got mixed up and taken home to the wrong family at a junior basketball carnival.

I loved the shot of RCD's mums after his goal.

3 - Cotchy
2 - Dion
1- Marlion

Best part for me was when game innovator Scott attempted to close the roof at Mickey Mouse Arena at half-time. Only for the mechanism to seize up and leave the sun shining in and blinding the spectators on the eastern side for the last 30 minutes of play. Dimma's response in the post game tele-conference when asked about the roof...

"Just let them play at the MCG. We've got the best stadium in the land 10 minutes up the road and it is not being used today. Instead we have to come here and lock out half of our members. And the AFL wonders where all the money has gone. Fair dinkum!"

Regarding the other matches, I hope rumours are true and Steve Morris does eventually step in to replace Carlton's head coach mid-season.

We'll have to wait and see.
