VFL 2024 Practice Matches

Wasn't able to watch the game today, where did Juddy play? Pleased to hear that he and Trezise played well.

McAuliffe, Cumbers and the Sonz will add to the senior line up when they get their chance.

Cumbo just has a knack of getting into the right spots. Kicked 3 and had 3 goals assist.
McAuliffe great running goal on his left. Works hard, has speed and uses it well.

Archie may looks a likely type. A good turn of speed. Very mobile.

In the end a 6 point loss.

Just saw the highlights. Gee Archie May continues to excite me. Has a bit of Lynchy about him.

With the Bradtkes, Schofields, Lefaus passing through, I reckon May is our next key forward of the future. Just need to make sure the Bummers or another club don't get their dirty mitts on him

Despite having been a fan of young Archibald’s for a while now, I wouldn’t go as far as to call him our next key forward.

Still, as an outsider it does make you wonder what the club saw in the others that you mentioned that they didn’t see in May? 12 months as a full-time professional footballer would have done wonders for his development.

Agree, a first full preseason for the lad appears to have done wonders. A year older, he looks to be still growing so can assume a late developer.

Yep. Franga's at least one to keep an eye on. Looks mobile and good build for a forward.
4 father sons in the team, Frangalas, Bower, Broderick, and Scott (Allister Scott's boy).

Frangalas & Bower did a couple of nice things, in the bit I saw.

Nothing much to really take away from that game…new youngster and only a few VFL regulars that played on Tuesday

Would have waxed them with our ‘full’ vfl list

Problem with MRJ is largely he has no awareness of whats around him
This is spot on posh. He has pace, he knows where to go, he does have some skills also. I've always wondered why he isn't better given that combo. I think this is exactly it. It's why he often looks confused or out of options or tries to do too much. because he doesn't really see what the options are, who is around him.

Think you have nailed his major issue.
