Does anyone know what the radio broadcast rights situation is OS? As we know Richmond hardly ever features on Australia TV so I try to get my fix via the radio. Been attempting to listen to Tigers games via the net. 3AW's feed usually cuts out 25 minutes before their pre match has been completed. Great!
I just don't get it. Why can't we listen to the games while in Asia? I thought the AFL was trying to promote the game OS. It's not like they are going to make huge $$$ charging people to listen to the games from OS. Sounds like something Adrian Anderson may have come up with. Then again it could be any number of blood sucking lawyers (I know it's a tautology) on the AFL's books.
Show some humanity AFL. Give footy back to the people.
On the positive side at least we get to see the last two Tiger games on Australia TV.

You have to go to the AFL website to access the live radio broadcasts. I'm listening to the MMM coverage right now.

Thanks for the information. I assumed it was about charging fans to listen to matches. Begs the question though, why not just let the individual stations continue their own footy broadcasts?

"February 2010 will be a big month on Australia Network for sports lovers, with motorsports, rugby union and australian football returning to our schedule. Our summer lineup includes the 2010 V8 Supercars Championship Series , the Super 14s Rugby and the AFL Pre-season Cup . "
I hope they show our first match or else that will be it.

For the first time in years, I've moved house but haven't got foxtel connected yet....might have to head down the car wash if its on Foxtel ;D
