Trent Cotchin (Merged)

Having an impact when required , really suits the stage of his career now to only go in the centre when needed instead of full time.

Was at the match at ground level and thought the Richmond immortal and AFL legend was huge tonight. Left everything on the ground and inspirational. Pity we lost it at selection, Samsonite should have been a late change

Don't agree at all. Love him, respect him but you cannot play at 80% and stay in the side... He and a few "others" are literally at 70 to 80% capacity which no AFL side can carry. He and the "others" also don't look fit and the intensity is not where it should be.

Tough retirement decisions coming!!

Gee I don't know about that. I thought he tried to carry the side on his back a bit tonight. I thought he was ok.

It’s a complex question - the heroic intent is there, but is it really enough anymore?

yeah right we have a conga-line of fearless battering rams ready to come in to the side. An 80% cotch is still better than any alternative we have, and most alternatives any side has for that matter.

Tough retirement decisions? Really? What are they? Cotch and Jack retire at the end of the season? Wow, pretty tough decisions. Jack said when he signed on he might play seconds if his form drops or someone steps up.

Why you get all jittery with these discussions?

That non chase down of McQueeryy was the nail in the coffin for the come back.
He has never been fast but tonight, he was in lead boots..
In the 3rd qtr he was 5metres away from crisp that turned into 10m that turned into an Elliott mark and goal.
You can't rely on diving to get the ball.
I wouldn't mind him take a rest for Sonie to come in now.
Hardwick needs to rejuvenate the side. Because we looked like hawthorn did in 2016^ 2017

No, you are not debating, just on angry pills.

Don’t particularly care what you think of my own posting though
We just lost to *smile* Collingwood, some clown blames our triple premiership captain, and you are wondering why I'm on the angry pills? Fair dinkum.

His ball handling in the first half was just sublime. Not a fumble. Toughest tiger I’ve ever watched play football. Tougher than the Kellaways. Tougher than Rance. Tougher than Nank. And the hair.
But he can’t run. Not sure where he’s best suited. Maybe floating through the backline?
It ain’t as a forward and he struggles in transition as a mid.

Legend of the club and game.

Trent Coleman hasn’t happened. But he is still valuable on the inside.

Copy the Taylor Adam’s role to Tom Mitchell to Taranto. Still so clean.

He played well tonight I thought. Much harder at contests than most of our other players, Baker excepted.

Sure he’s not quick, but he still finds it & uses it.
