It's three days on our server. It varies a bit depending on how long the server's been running and stuff. Pretty sure you get around 9 days if you sign up to server 6 now as it's been going for quite a long time. As we've all pretty much just started that doesn't matter so much on our server as we're all roughly equal atm.

Actually, I spent all my gold increasing production by 25%, I thought I should do this to catch up a bit.

I also built an Embassy and a Cranny, but by the looks of it I went too early. Looking forward to some action, should be fun!

A mate of mine from work will be founding the alliance. I figured if this creature who's threatening me is fair dinkum that it might be an idea for everyone else to join the alliance before me without the possibility of being attacked through being associated with me. Might be an idea for all of you to let me know when you've got your embassies up and running so I can let him know to invite you as spots become available.

Hopefully once I join everyone will be pretty well set and "mikehunt" will realise he's got a fight on his hands, might then go after an easier target (I hope :-\).

I think Harry, that gold can only be used here. Not sure though. So, if it cant be used anywhere else, get on board. Downside though is if you wait a while, say when you producing 50+, the 25% really starts to kick in.
