Cheers.

Has that Katri really got 9999 scouts?

Doesn't seem possible.

I scouted him about 24 hours ago. He must ve got nervous and called his mates troops in.

Spies lol. They probably read the forum more than I do.

I know, I don't get the mentality to be a spy in this game, pretty crappy way to win a game if you ask me.

Apparently it's actually an MDS member haha. Oh the intrigue.

Have the leadership started the "who is the spy" games yet? When that gets going its a whole lotta fun :(

Have to say, I loved one of the spy tactics one of the MDS wings used (don't know which one).

They targeted the "weak link" in an alliance and pounded them. Then they cut a deal. Be our spy, and we will keep you in the game.

Much better way to do it than trying to sneak someone in.

Another cool ploy they did a while back was send an MM telling everyone to fake one of the SRB's so the spy'd pass it on and you'd all sent heaps of troops there while a little band of locals prepared to pound the *smile* out of a guy about 15 squares away. Lovely work.

thats the thing that *smile* me about a spy in the ranks. for decent offence/defence you end up only using a trusted core of the alliance, and most your alliance becomes a mistrusted source of crop.

not much fun, but agree the tactic is effective.

MDS has a pretty effective way of narrowing down the candidates. I'll tell you about it when the server ends or when your alliances are all wiped out. ;D

I wouldn't worry too much about T74's rabble. The're some the easiest b!tches to pound in this game.

Already flattened two of their villages without a whimper ;D

Hey duckman.

If i want to take over a village with my senator,I just keep attacking the village with him in tow is that right.?How many times do i have to visit?

Also if he dies in one of the raids, can I still make another senator at that same village?

Thats not nice, we were travelling okay before the bloody spy started wrecking everything. The piece of *smile* cost me about 3 weeks personally

Hehe didumms.Your the one who chose to go in with a pack of serbs rather than join an alliance with good aussie diggers. ;D

When I joined we weren't even in a NAP with the serbs, and I was on the other side of the planet to you lot.

I put the spies (regardless of who uses them) in the same category as people running multiple accounts, or in MMORPG's those who buy gold, loot guild banks, or ninja loot during raids.

Just because something can be done, doesn't mean its cool.

Have to say though, you want to see angry, see a forum when 6 months worth of loot in a guild bank is stolen. Then people get a tad cranky :D

Hey guys, even though I'm no longer participating , I still follow this thread keenly, and am glad to see the action's heating up.

T74, you've lost me. What do you mean by this. What is a guild bank?, and what do you mean by ninja loot?

in MMORPG's like Warcraft, you basically go around beating up people and monsters for gold and loot. Similar to the alliances in Trav, they have guilds (strength in numbers and all). As a guild, you can pool resources by creating a guild bank, where everyone contributes. Its actually common for people to withdrawl everything from the bank, leave the guild, then change realm (similar to going from S2 to S1 with the same village).

Ninja looting occurs during raids for epic items. For large quests, you need a team, and generally everyone agrees to loot sharing arrangements in advance. A ninja looter goes along with the group, but when the item becomes available they pick it up, quit the group, and exit to another area.

These are different issues to Trav of course, but are examples of people using the system in a way that goes against the spirit of the gameplay.
