Training For Redemption in 2022

Will Martyn : Unfortunately Will is pretty crook with Glandular Fever and is back in Queensland recovering, (a pretty severe setback for him you would think as it can really knock you around and he really needed everything to go right to give him his best shot).
Poor kid. Massive setback for him. I had glandular fever when I was his age and it took me probably 12-18 months to be right again. I lost 12kg and every time I thought I was better it hit me again.
Hopefully he recovers quickly!

Same I was tired for eight months. And your description of it coming in waves is spot on. Not sure you can have a good AFL season when you have glandular at Xmas.

I knew people who came through it after 8-12 weeks okay but I was completely floored by it. I guess hard for people to understand if they haven’t had it especially the waves, anytime you feel good again and try to get back to normal it hits you and your back to square one. Only time I have ever been sicker was Covid but that didn’t last anywhere near as long!

I agree about Will’s season. If he has a case as bad as both of ours it’s hard to see him being able to show his talent next year. I hope he recovers quick and proves me wrong.

Here's a bit of goss.

Noah's brother Patrick is training with our VFL side.

Spoiler alert: He's the tallest one in the photo.

That's all I have for now but I'll share more as it comes to hand - you'll see my track record when it comes to the Croatian boys.
Bang.

I can’t believe you booked your booster jab at a time that clashes with training? So at best we can expect an incomplete report?
Just joking of course Caesar, hope it all goes really well mate. You have your priorities well sorted.

I can't believe he crossed Victoria St to get it, what would Jack Dyer say?

Lachie Johnson is the son of Chris, high pressure player, a very Richmond like small forward. Lots of niggle too.

Fraser Elliot is one to keep an eye on, big bodied mid who super consistent.

Good get @Roksman on Patrick Balta.

Also good to see Harrison Bourke:

Grandson of the great Francis Bourke and son of David also listed to carry on a family tradition :)
I’m running a book on nicknames for Harrison Bourke.
I’ll go first.
