Training for DRAFT PICKS!!!!

We don't need to get complacent now.
There must be a quality mid or tall kid that missed getting drafted
If they were that good they'd get drafted.Obviously those who missed have some kind of negative aspect to their game which all clubs noted.
I'd rather we wait until the mid season draft in case some is out long term.

Big rumour we are going to offer stkilda all our picks to get Bulter back

Exhibit A. Note the disparity between the perceived and real with regard to Motlop and Mansell's speed.

He looks like Peter Dinklage.

It does appear the recruiters are deadly serious about the midget rhetoric?

Not in your above options but Ross would be 1st cab off the rank for mine, I really need to see a full on scratch match to get my pecking orders and some VFL games would be nice.

Haha I'd forgotten Ross. How good is our midfield depth when you forget about him!

I'm just surprised how expert people are into a bloke who played a handful of games over a few seasons with Adelaide.
By expert people I presume you mean our recruiting team... I’m not a huge advocate for him at all, however being a former 1st rounder he must have some sort of ability. Maybe a better cultured club like the tiges might be able to get more out of him. Our recruiting team have the runs on the board recently so il back in this decision. Either way it’s hardly list changing!

Re Galluci, wonder if our recruiters had him pegged on the board before Shai in 2016 Draft, he was a Vic Metro Captain according to his Bio. Broken Jaw & Achilles injury would have missed a few games, intersting..

The Galluc

“Jordy’s as good of an athlete as Andy McGrath – could be even better as an all-rounder and he could be the best athlete I’ve seen come through a TAC Cup system. I think he’s played his best footy behind the footy at this stage.”

he could well fill a role for us. we are a very different club to others and some players that would struggle elsewhere could thrive with us. George is a prime example.

Yeah I don't get the angst. Plenty of players have struggled at 1 club and gone on to be successful at another.

We haven't even offered him a contract just a chance to have a run with us so we can take a closer look and people are pissed off for some reason. It certainly seems like we have plans to fill both spots with 5 players training with us.

Agree - I was totally confused at the time with the Baker selection - now I just sit back a go with the ride

Yep - I have my hand up for that as well and probably around that time I also thought Stengel was gonna become a decent player

*smile* didnt know dusty was 30 this year.

He may be 30 this year but he has 4 years left on his 7 year deal I think, plenty of footy still in front of Dusty. When (if) he slows down a bit he will do a Leigh Matthews and play mainly forward and probably kick 60.

I would be estastic if all our players proper height weight would be updated on RFC web, this would take SFA time.

When are you going to accept that 90% of the reason we are so dominate is because of Castagna Rioli Bolton.
Why weren't we good in 2016?
No Castagna No Bolton No Bulter

yeah I know. Still, a wave of sadness comes over me, with the briefest contemplation of the impermanence of Dusty.

Plenty of players have struggled at 1 club and gone on to be successful at another.

I dont think that is true.

I see the hawks have thrown my Tasmanian KPF kid, a chance

You guys do remember we turned Townsend into a premiership player right?

With Gallucci, It's a free roll of the dice on a guy with talent. No harm in getting him into train and seeing what he's got.

My Adelaide supporting mate thinks they totally trashed his development by leaving him standard in the forward line when he's naturally a mid or HBF.

that, most definitely, will do it

nice post FFoD

I trust in the club, but I do hope we give Mansell one of the spots.

A lot of the article is about Dusty, but I'll post it here because it gives some updates on some of the other players.

"AFL 2021: Dustin Martin showing no signs of slowing down after enjoying another outstanding pre-season

He’s one of the AFL’s greatest big-game players, and turns 30 this year, yet Dustin Martin refuses to take his foot off the pedal and is ready to spearhead another Richmond title push.

I know time flies when you are winning premierships but the biggest thing I took out of that article is Dusty turns 30 this year....part of me still sees him as a knockabout kid, not a verteran!

Yes time sure does fly, we have 8 players who are 30 or turning 30 this year, I'm hoping that's why we've stockpiled some draft picks.
