I have thought the same but is Cotchin going to be playing as a defensive forward? I don't know but it would look to be a great option, just doesn't sound like he has had that role in the practice matches.

DS
I think he did early when he was kicking a few. Played in front of Jack and Ben Miller? who were knocking the ball to space in front.
With his strength and determination he will play that role pretty well and he is also one of maybe 3, potentially in our forward line, who can actually kick off both.

Gibcus still only walking after his 'Nasty' infection which has probably set him back a month?
True but he’s not listed as long term whereas Kaleb Smith is apparently tracking really well and he’s listed as long term so that’s a positive

It's more that we need to peel all the groupies off the groin. Having announced himself as a Superhunk the exponential increase in action has been likened to that experienced by Brad Pitt after he went from wearing a Bugs Bunny suit on the street to starring in Thelma and Louise.

Common problem for all 18–19-year-olds I would've thought. ;)

On a serious note he might be getting some soreness in the adducters, or even some inflammtion re the Ye Olde Osteitis Pubis.

Lots of physical work being put through young fellas in their final growth stages, so it will settle.

They'll decrease and modify his training load and ease him back up through the gears.

Yeah he hurt his abductor in the North match.

Expect him back in a couple of weeks.

No Cumbo wtf. Injured or somehow out of favour.

Mate of mine says there's a group doing no running, consisting of Lynch, Cotchin, Short, Ross, Pickett. Should we be worried?

wonder what Cumberland has done wrong to lose his spot?
Someone made a solid post on BigFooty, it was something along the lines of this being a new season and, despite Cumberland's form in his short stint in the team, it wasn't enough to go by to simply guarantee him a spot leading into 2023, and that this is a new year and a lot of the up-for-grabs-spots would be decided upon pre-season form, not just games played last year.

For mine, I would have Cumberland in the starting 22 for round 1 based on last year, but I do also think he has some deficiencies.

Could be something totally unrelated to footy, he could be sick, could have something going on with family, who knows.
