You will have to buy one for me next time your at "Borough" MB.

Don't get back there very often any more.

Tony Free played in the last two Legends games. I know about the first cos he gave me my first knee injury (thanks for that Freezer), and then he played well in the recent one (June) at the 'G'. He still has his footy smarts, and as a bloke, you couldn't find a more affable down to earth Legend of the RFC!

I actually worked with his sister Julie, if Tony was anything like his sister he would be a great bloke. I asked her about her brother back in the days when he was playing for the Tigers, what he was like outside of footy & she said with Tony what you see is what you get. So it was a real shame he did'nt have a long career as he was turning out to be what everyone idolises in footy, tough but fair.

did the pies draft him? or did he go there as an assistant? i seem to remember they where after him

I'm fairly sure he did pre-season there, after Gieschen told him that Richmond would not consider re-drafting him after his knee. I don't think the knee stood up and Collingwood let him slide. He was briefly involved in player management after this.

Bet Freeza would be stoked to find out he was held in the same esteem as Nathan Bower to be coveted in the Herald Sun OH DEAR!!!!!! :-\ :hihi

Hi,
Does anyone know if Tony Free is still married? and if he has any kids?

Thanks :)

Fairly sure he had one (out-of-wedlock) child in the early 90's.
(Friend of a friend told me). He did all the right things apparently, paid support etc.

Nice to know he is doing the right thing by this child?
Do u know what he is doing these days? :)
