To those of you media experts who think Richmond get too many games at the MCG, read this.

I think this is the crux of the low crowds - the ticketing where you can't just turn up and walk in. Plus, if you do go for a general admission seat now you get a seat in the clouds while there are available seats on Level 1. You need to be able to walk in with an 11 game membership and either get a better seat or be allowed in standing room.

The AFL really need to get this fixed.
Neither will happen this season. The purpose of requiring a booking is to be able to trace who was sitting in which seat in the event of an outbreak. Random cash purchases or people milling about in standing room won't be allowed.

Too early to say what will happen next year.

Is there anywhere I can find these stats? I'd love to use this data to shove down the throats of all the Richmond haters on social media.
I wouldn't be surprised if he was a PRE user? He rang Gerard yesterday morning and spoke for a couple of minutes in exact detail. Talked about how often we play teams like Port and Gold Coast away. About often we have been to Geelong and referenced the likes of Carl/Pies/Ess/Hawks as having not played there for over 20 years in some cases. Went through how many times we play home teams on their home ground eg Saints/North/Bulldogs etc at Marvel. Gerard was a little surprised. Cornes should be made to play it and then try and argue about the tigers favourable draw. He couldn't without making himself look like an idi....wait a sec

Meh. Fake news created by a fake media desperately trying to attract attention.

Don't bother getting sucked in and giving it oxygen. That's what the media want you to do.

It's like going to a circus and winning an argument with clowns about balloons and unicycles. If they've drawn you into the tent, they've won.

On a separate note, does anyone feel like betting on bet365?

This annoys me too. How hard can it be to just open up the whole ground on the ticketing website and let members choose where they want to sit? Any left over tickets then come up for public sale. We shouldn't be forced to sit in certain bays, it's ludicrous.
We prefer to sit up the top deck and have just been having to wait for public seating allocation to open to get a $0 ticket where we want to sit

While it still annoys me every time I hear about we get too many games at the G, even after explaining why to people and being logical, asking them why it would be fair on other teams like Melbourne, Collingwood and hawthorn having to play their home games against us etc, i think I will just try and *smile* people off because all they’re trying to do is *smile* me off. From now on when people complain to me about it I’m just going to reply, “ yes, you’re right, but we deserve it” . Won’t justify why, just repeat it. See how they react

ps. I’ll still *smile* about it here though. My shrink says it’s good to rant and get things out of my system :))

Sheeeesh ... 5-4 and eighth and we're still the biggest drawing team.
And we're the ones letting the comp down?
When we were cellar dwellers our attendance was in the top 3.But don't tell the AFL that, and certainly not the media.............
