Time for new emoticons

How do I restore the emoticons and top bar on the reply page?
They’ve all faded to grey. I can click on them, they turn white but nothing happens. .??

Push the [ ] button in the top right hand corner .... worked for me the other day.

Have I pushed a wrong button to the point where I can no longer access any of the items on the toolbar at the top of the message box? I can still see em but nothing happens if I click on any of them.
