Simmo has to be farewell for him. Im sure hes been selected just to give Vickery a break after a decent stint in the 1s. Coughlan, yep days looks numbered based on dropping him. Great to see Polak back.

Cogs is a bit unlucky. I hope he will get ready for the pre-season and have a good 2010.
Is it last game for Simmonds?
Great to see Polly getting a game. A good story to come out of the club in a bad season 2009.

So no Post or Vickery to finish the year off, disappointed.
Would appear Jade is hoping the old boys will get him a win just before the coaching gig is announced.
The blade is becoming blunt.

Still persisting with the small forward line which should actually suit the hawks given their lack of good tall defenders. Again extremely poor selection, Post needed to come back.

Why? Happy for him to start preparing for next year. Has benefited from the experience and will be stronger and better next year.

Polak and Simmonds can both play there alongside Jack while Graham rucks. Names on a piece of paper Thursday night mean little more than letting us know who is playing.

Post wasn't great last week according to EOTT

They've been struggling.

It seems Jayden didn't really earn a recall even though he's named as an emergency. I'm happy to see both go back and have a good pre-season now they've had a decent taste of what it's all about.

From EOTT

Jayden Post
Returned to the Coburg line-up after playing several matches with Richmond. Played wing, as well as key back at times. Was reasonably disappointing, having little influence despite the drop in level. We’ll be looking for a lot more from him this week.

White gifted more games along with McMuffin. Waste of time playing Brown too, near certainty to be gone in 2010. Seems Jade is going for the win instead of development.

why wouldn't they play him as a forward?

I would be tempted to give Cogs another year to step up. Bit much to expect him to produce first year fit.

We have a lot of crap on our list and Cogs offers heart, aggression and some inside skills. Deserves to stay.

Yep I agree.

It all depends on numbers to be cut, but I hope they give him a chance to run around again.

I thought Thomson was supposed to be too injured to play at AFL level, (but not VFL.)
Be good to get a look anyway.

I'd be very surprised, and disappointed, if we selected an injured player when it's not necessary. I'd assume he's fit if he's playing...wouldn't make sense otherwise.

Eat 'em Alive Adam.
