Thoroughbred racing

Congratulations, T44. Owning a black type mare is a huge deal! Fine run. I preferred your mare to her stablemates but was off the mark on the day so might’ve slowed her down.
Thanks all, unfortunately we only lease her (from Waikato Stud) so when she finishes racing she goes back to the stud. Agree re the barriers, swap them and she doesnt have to do as much work early and has a kick left at the end. That's racing!

Still annoyed with the trainer but that is not going to change anything.

Warming to Finche in the Caulfield Cup. Have also had a few $ each way on a 12yo racing in race 1 at Caulfield, Lord Durante $50 on TAB - a little rain won't hurt his chances.

Good luck to those punting on the weekend, hopefully after a Tigers victory in Adelaide Friday night!

I had a good collect on Arctic Scent in the Caulfield Cup years ago. I'm getting the same vibe with Toffee Tongue, 4yo mare with a similar form line, so it's TT for me.

Toffee tongue for me too Tman

Feather weight (especially in relation to the fav), perfect gate, gets the trip, likes the wet, in form, good price

I backed Anthony Van Dyck a couple of weeks ago at $11, and got the same price for Master of Wine last night. I hope Verry Elleegant drifts a bit and I'll have something on her.

See they are sticking tubes down the short favs lungs in The Kosiosko and have her on antibiotics?

could be the lay of the year, making Front Page a very good investment.

Durea has trained 1 winner first up in 100 years. He simply doesn't train horses to win first up.

I still think Front Page is a G1 sprinter.

I was extremely concerned about the times Its Me was running in shitty highway handicaps,

but its hard to run time with lungs full of snot.

I am declaring Front Page the bet of the day tomoz.

Jmac will bounce from the middle gate and dictate terms from the front.

Ouch. Was all over Front Page as well Gyps.

Cannot believe Fituese is odds against tomorrow (Caulf Race 6). Airborne and wins ILHO.

Also Rc 8 The Inevitable, Rc 10 Pretty Brazen for leysy.

Oh and Gytrash is best sprinter in the land and will show it in the Everest.

GL All!!

Was my selection too ....didn't take advantage of gate took too long to get in and then didn't hold spot, never threatened once pace went on. Luckily my standardthree hors quinella covered VE and AvD.
Prince of Aran ..... never run a bad race in Aust.... but hard to See him ever wining MC?

I reckon we can really get GF week rolling

With Skyward in the geelong cup today.

Close Form behind stradivarious and AVD at set weight wins this race i think.

A rare european who likes a firm deck

And heres the kicker ......

The have insisted W.Pike wears a dustin martin costume to ride him.

Its the GF bet of the week.

* important note, i turned my horror form around and backed the winner of the CC from the mounting yard on saturday.

Have a few runners over the next few days. Hello Sunshine and Midnight Magic both in at Ballarat tomorrow. Hello Sunshine (Race 3) had a slight setback but has ability - the favourite will be hard to beat but at around $4.50 almost each way value - drawn well, optimistic but not over confident. Midnight Magic (Race 9) was 2nd emerg but got a run - tough race and ignore her last run - didn't handle the wet track. As long as track ok is actually worth a dollar each way at about $40. Drawn wide and will need luck - there are much better betting propositions ahead!

My Pendant in race 5 at MV Saturday. Trainer (D O'Brien) has 3 in the same race and won't tell how she stacks up against the stablemates but again is big odds (her past couple have been ordinary) but if you ignore them as unsuitable distance/barrier/track then out to 1600m, on the Strath Ayr and finally drawn nicely is worth a dollar each way if you are desperate! Fabric being saved for Cup Day 1400m race.

Like Arcadia Queen in the Cox Plate - provided it doesnt get too wet. Also like Lunar Fox race 6 No 2 and Sound race 8 no 7 for a bit of each way value.

Go Tigers

I'm a loyal sort of a ****, I stuck with the Tiges during the dark times, and I'm sticking with Special K.......just one more time:help

He might have lost his nuts, but he hasn't lost his love of a wet track, and the track is going to be wet. Special K is a mudlark.... there's only thing he likes more than a soft track, and that's a big bowl of ******* milk.

Special K - place into RC - place in the Cox Plate @ $8.50, you know it makes sense :cupgold:cool:

Steward report said that Toffee Tounge copped a laceration in running, might be a bit of an excuse.
