Thoroughbred racing

I know I'm swimming against the tide here,

but I'm pleased Winx is hanging up the bridle.

She's been great earning millions for the Ingham woman and all that,

but I want to be able to bet on the big Group 1's,

not just watch them and wave a little flag.

and if I heard Bowman talk about his dunnydoo dreams one more time, I was gonna :vomit

Ok tough card tomorrow.

But like 3.

Caulf rc 4 music bay

Caulf Rd 7 streets of Avalon

But given it’s the biggest price let’s get the needy in on

Race 5 Libretto

$6 the win

GL all

Should have stuck with Streets of Avalon Leysy.

One of my fillies goes around at Sandown tomorrow, Fabric, race 5 no 12. Tough race with quite a few chances but her last start win was impressive, she has finally drawn a decent barrier 7 and any give in th ground will be a plus. Haven’t heard from the trainer yet but expect them to be hopeful. Should settle midfield and finish strongly. Good each way bet at around the $10 mark.

Go Tigers

Fabric was very unlucky. According to C Williams probably should have won. Doesn't help the pocket but at least she managed third so ended up ahead. Hopefully she gets a run at Flemington next Saturday 4th May.

Have 2 Hancox Syndicate horses going around over the weekend. Mossbelle at Cranbourne on Friday night - should just about win but always seems to find one better. Bit of rain woudl help my confidence levels. Around $4.40 - reckon she will at least run a place just not convinced she wants to win that much. Urban Ruler goes around in Race 1 at Eagle Farm on Saturday. good odds ($18) so worth a dollar each way - well drawn and should settle in a good spot and hopefully finish over them. Would not be putting my house on him either but at least at those odds worth an interest.

Best for the weekend - in keeping with the great S Stack Hawkesbury race 2 no 9 Stock Up - each way around the $10 mark might give them all the hip and shoulder and sprint away from them.

Good punting all

Great theatre wasn’t it.

The firm track today saw her turnaround that recent Sydney form.

It will be interesting where they go to get that group 1 win.

Probably will stick to her own and go the Tatts Tiara rather than the 10,000.

With the right track conditions and tempo they'd be good races for her.

All Up Santa Ana Lane, Beauty Generation and Exultant tomorrow.

"A politician who has resigned after revelations of lewd comments and behaviour at an American strip club is a former Queensland Racing Minister."

I wonder what his thoughts are on the whip rule :D ;)

Great to see the bookies get there arses kicked at Caulfield last Saturday :clap

IT'S ONLY THE BOOKIES WHO DISLIKE THE VOBIS GOLD SERIES

"There’s much celebrations within the owners and breeders ranks in Victoria with the VOBIS Gold Series proving to be a massive hit with all involved.

However there’s one group who would be struggling with the concept big time, although you wouldn’t be seeing too much sympathy for the bookies.

It’s the same every year and in most cases it’s a ‘fill up’ for punters with winner after winner starting favourite.

So much so that the $200,000 promotion run for punters to have a free crack at tipping the last seven winners on the Caulfield program was shared by 131 people with each picking up $1526.

The seven winners started at $2.90, $2.20, $4.60, $3.60, $1.65, $1.80 and $2.90. And just for the record the other two winners on the day started $3.20 favourite and the ‘long shot’ Ocean Deep went around at $6.50."

Geez they are pricks. I was promo banned by Pointsbet too despite losing with them. Took my money out to lose elsewhere.

I should add i have a mate that Beteasy banned from doing quaddies because he once had a big quaddie win. But you can hardly be a quaddie expert.

A bit of info for you and others Leysy.

https://www.beforeyoubet.com.au/5-tips-avoid-getting-banned-online-sportsbook

There are some great promotional offers around the best Australian sportsbooks at the moment, particularly with the AFL season starting to heat up and the NRL focussing on the State of Origin period.

In particular, Ladbrokes have put their marketing caps on and come up with a couple of great enhanced odds promotions – giving $2.00 odds on short-priced AFL and NRL favourites for a maximum bet of $20.

During the week we had a couple of responses on Twitter from followers who had been blocked from participating in some of the promotions. Getting barred from an online sportsbook isn’t something new. It can happen when a sportsbook identifies you as a winning punter or bonus abuser as they have the right to limit your wagers or ban you altogether if they so desire. It’s not fun, it’s not personal, it’s just business.

However there are ways that you can manage your betting to help avoid the wrath of the online sportsbooks. Basically if you are always throwing jabs rather than trying to land knockout punches, you’ll find that you won’t become a target of the banhammer.

Here are five ways to help reduce the chances of you getting banned at an online sportsbook:

1. Don’t abuse bonus offers

Bonus offers are designed as a marketing tool to attract new and recreational punters. Ladbrokes know that $2.00 odds for Fremantle against Carlton is good odds for the punter, but they limit the betting to just $20. It minimizes their exposure as it is designed to attract recreational punters rather than professionals in the hope that they will stick around and bet on some other markets.

If you hit up every single promotion for the maximum amount, and don’t bet on anything else, then you are a chance to be flagged as someone who purely abuses bonuses.

The answer is to let a few promos or bonuses go through to the keeper every now and then, and make sure you place some other bets on the site rather than just hitting and running their promotions.

2. Leave some funds in your account

It sounds simple but so many punters love to deposit and withdraw their winnings straight away. It’s understandable for recreational punters who don’t bet with a bankroll. But if you’re depositing, hitting a promotion and then withdrawing straight away, you’re going to get noticed. That’s why many bonuses have play through requirements, to stop people deliberating abusing them.

If you leave some funds in your account, then it serves a few purposes. Firstly, you’re telling the sportsbook that you intend to bet there again in future which they will like. It also helps you to build a bankroll which is ideal for those looking to elevate from a casual punter to something more professional. Finally having funds in your account means you don’t need to redeposit next time you want to bet which saves you time!

If you stick with the recommended sportsbooks that we promote here on Before You Bet, then your money is 100% safe so you should have no security concerns over leaving some money in your account.

3. Reduce your bet sizes

If you are a winning punter and your bet amounts are starting to get into serious money territory then you may want to employ some tactics to avoid getting noticed and banned as a winning player.

If your bets are consistently under the $100 range then we have found that the sportsbooks generally won’t have a problem with that bet amount. When you start to bet more than that figure, then you may like to consider reducing your bet size per site to avoid getting noticed.

4. Spread your bets

If you continually pound the one bookmaker, they will soon take notice, but if you spread your bets around a number of sites, then it’s less likely your betting activity will raise a red flag.

Most sportsbooks will offer odds around the same mark, so if you’re betting say $500, consider placing 5 x $100 bets around a few different sportsbooks rather than unloading on the one. It helps to reduce your impact on one sportsbook without forfeiting the size of the bet you would like. We have around 20 sportsbooks on this site, so there's no reason why you can't spread your wagers.

With so many great sportsbooks around with similar lines/prices, each offering great promotions, there’s no need to be stuck in just the one place. Shop around!

5. Mix up your markets

It also doesn’t hurt to bet on a variety of sports and markets. If you’re constantly landing one particular bet type then you will probably soon have your bets reduced on that market or even banned altogether. If however you are betting across a number of different sports, then you’re less likely to get noticed. It doesn’t hurt to have an occasional speculative bet or a novelty type bet just for some fun, and doing so will make it less obvious that you are a step or two above a mug punter!

These tips won’t guarantee that you will avoid the banhammer but they will certainly help if you are a consistent winner or someone chasing bonuses. Some sportsbooks are more lenient than others, so if you are worried that you may run into some problems then we suggest you give these tips a try! Happy punting!

I got odds boost banned late last year.

I rang up and said

'tell your boss he's a p!ssweak crooked mother*smile*er and I wont be taking any more of his money'

cash only TAB now. Don't shop for odds much anymore (might drive to Queensland for decent overs),

just put on my best cowboy shirt to collect the foldy stuff

roll it up, ask for a rubber band ,smile,

then I flip the pearl stud and walk out looking like Im wearing a navel orange over my heart.

Ive just ordered a Sydney Stack badge to augment my collecting outfit.

I think that was my problem T'man.

I just repeatedly slugged the *smile* in both ears with a barrage of big hooks, left and right.
