The tax bill instead of a tax return other games thread R21

These losses are well timed for pies. In 2018 we were playing crap but still winning coming into finals. I reckon a loss is what we needed to recalibrate.

Perhaps but this also has a whiff of been worked out. They arent smacking anyone in a prelim or GF. Flood that corridor late and tbwy will struggle to get through. Thats two weeks of evidence now.

Yep. The Pussies next week will be interesting. Hope it is the end.

Thought the same thing myself. Reckon a loss late in 2018 may have straightened us up.

Not sure the Pies will be too concerned. They are pretty much gauranteed top 2 and that's all you need. Can't win them up and may just re-focus them on certain areas where they have been beaten last 2 games.

Of course I hope they implode and go out of the finals in a straight sets screaming heap. As long as it isn't Carlton or Geelong that benefits ultimately.

Ohhhhh dear. FALL APART SCUMWOOD!!
A great win by the Hawks and a credit to their recruiting people who have selected strong, big bodied players across all lines.

The legacy of Hardwick is the recruitment of a gaggle of small bodied players with poor skills who apparently can run but lack footy grunt.

It was good to see the arrogant Pies picked apart and capitulating in the last quarter.

I almost get as pleasure out of a Skunks loss as a Tigers Win.
I daydream about them losing another GF by a point, and then get angry with myself for imagining them in a GF.

Lol N Daicos goes off hurt in the last, had a *smile* day at the office (5 disposals), and thought ill go off it'll explain why I was *smile* for 3 quarters.
In the 3rd when he goaled by a freebie, pumped up the muscles like a he-man, didnt look hurt celebrating with gusto.
Then on the bench, he and Mitchell playing you show me your bruise ill show you mine GTFO you soft *smile*

:mhihi Saw this. What a laugh at these machos. Too many GFs week per week for these bots.

Must be some curse with long contracts at Scumwood. Killed Grundy and now hopefully Dicky and Dosh.

We need to get a lot better with our recruiting. CCJ, Dow and RCD rank failures as first rounders in the last few years. Another first rounder in Higgins gone; IMO was a poor selection as well. Where are our next key forwards? Jack is gone at year's end and Lynch is 31 next season and injury prone. Our other young selections are paddling but that can happen when you don't have access to the cream of the draft. It looks as though we will have some good first rounders from 2024 onwards and we need to pick the eyes out of it.

Absolute priority on kicking skills and ball winning ability. No more *smile* flankers.

It was interesting to see Tom Mitchell and the Hawthorn players after the game, from the vision I saw none of them gave him the time of day and Sicily did the no eye contact/no words handshake. Only a trainer smiled and greeted him warmly.

Umps excelling in the art of the centre bounce . ....

That was a point! But it's Geelong so it's a great ARC review.
