These guys were the early rockstars of TV journalism in our country.
RIP George Negus.
No such thing as multiple TVs in the household, or multitudes of on demand channels as a child in the 80s.

So apart from Saturday morning cartoons, or a short stint after school, us kids watched what our parents watched, as a family.

These fellas very much fill my childhood memories of family TV evenings in the 80s (along with Tony Barber - Sale of The Century).

RIP George. As a primary school student, I really liked his journalism. Really pricked my early interest in geography, history, socio-politics and the general world around us.
