The Quaddie

If you are not already grey RFC these will send you there quick - good luck hope you get one soon, with some value. Keep looking for that value.

Today's was basicaly a treble so paid very well in the end, finding the Eagle was the key obviously

Funnily enough the Eagle was one of the last horses banished from my numbers. When I see the "TCD" in the form I try and include, this fella though had horrendous form over the last 12 months and there was absolutely nothing to indicate he'd find his best today.

If my wife goes to bed early I'll probably do the form for Ballarat tomorrow and sneak a little quaddie on there tomorrow.

-$230. Had Felidea in the last who pumped up the jam at $18.20 but missed two of the others. Quaddie paid $12752 - like a smile from a pretty girl at a nightclub - it makes sure you'll be back fro another crack at the title. Probably won't be doing much this week in the way of TAB donations but will be back with the bells on Friday.

Happy punting.

Only fair that I add in the unsuccesful quaddie from Mornington yesterday. Now sitting at -$280.
Hopefully this thread is a lesson to those thinking of taking up the quaddie as a hobby - don't do it unless you can burn some cash without regret.
Je ne regrette rien.
I'll be having a go tomorrow night at the punters' graveyard, aka Friday night Moonee Valley.
BIG6 very tempting on Saturday with the guarantee of $1m on offer.

Can't say for sure what I'll do tomorrow night but most of these will probably be included. Will only have a $20-$30 go as not really liking much.

4,1,8,3 / 4,8,9,11 / 1,3,8 / 8,10,6,7 (7 only getting in on name as it's our first hit out for the year, Tigress Joy)

Never got around to a quaddie on Friday night and yesterday decided to have a go at the Big6. Took 2 x Big6 - 1st with Mosheen / Helmet and the Cav all one out. 2nd was assuming both Mosheen and Helmet would lose, Cav would win.
Took 3 shortest in legs 1,6,7. Left Mosheen and Helmet out and took next 3 shortest in those legs and the Cav 1 out. $1700 profit on $35 outlay. Less another $35 for the other losing BIG6 made for a very happy day.
Winning Big6 was taken because of the number of times I've seen every tipster in H/S, Age, etc all pick the same horse and it's failed to deliver. Checked 17 tipsters yesterday and all had Mosheen and Helmet. The Cav is an exception to this rule - and every other rule too.

At the rate these quaddies are going I'll have yesterday's winnings spent in no time. Today at Bendigo we'll have a little sniff 1,10,9 / 6,9,5,3 / 6,14,12,4 / 12,9,11 $30 for 20%.

Good get on the Big 6. Well done.

You will always go on long losing runs with these types of bets. Jagging just one like the above will get you ahead for a long time.

Have been occupied with other bets but the rain and Heavy 9 at Bendigo today has got me interested.
Not sure of exact combo yet but will trim a couple out and put $40 on.

First number in each leg will definitely make the cut.

6,15,16,2/ 7,11,6,3 / 13,9,1,5 / 8,3,10,13,14

Only got the last leg RFC.

I love the Quaddie, when I have the money to put it on.

Damn it when work goes quiet.

Did anyone not get the Quaddie today?

A pretty easy one to get today, it paid $881.

I put $10 on it and got about 6% of it, $61.

I had $40 worth of bets and lost them all except the Quaddie, so ended up about $20 ahead.

What does the % mean with quaddies? I've never done one cos they seem so confusing.

You normally work out what a quaddie would cost you by multiplying the number of horses you choose in each leg. So if you wanted 2 horses in each leg, 2x2x2x2=$16.

If you only want to bet $5 though, you would do 5/16=0.3125, or 31.25%.

You then get that percentage of what the quaddie pays.

Thanks heaps Freezer. What would you get if you bet $20?

Sounds complicated to me but I'll have a crack one day. Hard enough to fluke one winner let alone 4.

In the same example, you would do $20/$16 = 1.25 or 125% of what the quaddie paid. For example, if the quaddie paid $1,600, multiply that by 1.25 and you would get $2,000.
