I love the quaddie and rarely get them home. Hopefully the pressure of posting them in a public forum will make me study a little harder. I'll keep a running total of spend and return (if any). My basic rules are. 1/ Look for horses that have won at the track, class and distance. 2/ Winning form is good form. 3/ Avoid like the plague mares 6yo+ who haven't won in more than 12 months. 4/ Never trust a 2yo. 5/ Do the form before looking at odds & "experts" tips.

My tips are like Draino, if swallowed seek urgent medical advice.

SALE 05/02/2012
1,5,6 / 5,6,7 / 2,3,6 / 1,3,4,7

$40 for 37%

Some pretty sound punting rules you are following KFC.

Good luck. Hope you jag one.

A $40 donation to the TAB to kick things off.

I've always steered clear of quaddies on the basis that you can assess three legs perfectly - perhaps even nominate the trifecta in each from three or four selections - and one unexpected result upsets the apple cart. A tearaway leader, a muddling pace, a dodgy start, or just the old fashioned 'clerk of the course' getting up at enormous odds often means you get zilch for your efforts. The fact that the quaddie usually pays 'overs' doesn't compensate for the frequent heartbreak IMO, especially in these days of percentage wagering.

But I applaud your boldness in putting your selections up in public and encourage you to continue!

Had a quick flick through the form for tomorrow at Sandown and don't like the look of it. However with a voucher in the wallet that is crying to be spent I'll have a go. Currently -$40.

$36 for 20%

1,2,3,12 / 1,2,3,10,13 / 1,4,6 / 8,13,16

The quaddie at a recent local race meeting here in Albany paid just over $52000 the other day.

Helps when the first leg is a $51 winner and the last pays $17.

But someone got at least part of it.

I love seeing someone kill the pig like that. I do it for fun but can't deny a chunk of $52K would be nice.

Interesting thread RFC. Hope you land a big one soon. Good luck. :)

Thanks Rosie - decided during the Spring Carnival that I was going to get interested in the horses to help fill the footy void.

Out at lunch today and happened to wander by a TAB. Had $34 left on the voucher so wacked a quaddie on down at Werribee. Hadn't looked at the form so not sure if this should count, however.......

1,7,10 / 1 / F / F

$34 for 10.3%

As so often happens the "one out" leg didn't get there so total is now -$110. Will prbably have a go tomorrow night and most certainly on Saturday.

Just had a look at Death Moonee Valley night races tomorrow. Toole looks like remakable value to me at $18 fixed in R5. Won here last start over same distance ie 3000. Has a 3kg claim which sees him carrying significantly less than the 2 top weights and well under anything else that looks to be in the running on paper. Up in class but can't see how the long journey with one less brick on his back won't give him a significant advantage in the run to the line.

I'll put $40 in for 20.83%

2,3,4,6 / 2,4,5 / 7,8,9,12 / 3,4,8,10

Giddy up.

I can't recall ever having a go at a quaddie. Might have to look it up when next at the local TAB.

Last time i had a crack at a quaddie was a few years ago at Pakenham. Nailed the 1st 3 legs and was looking pretty good in the last only for the bloody meet to be called off due to the state of the track. I was refunded my initial outlay.

Keep plugging, I don't know anyone who hits them regularly.
