Yeah he did. 2019 I think ?

Bit of an interesting story there. One of his sons called him a complete and utter *smile* after he died. Another said something similar as did his wife of 20+ years Paulina Prozikova or whatever her name is. The super model chick that was in the Drive video.

Having said that, I think they were all left out of his will.
Yeah, amazing how many terrible stories there are in celebrities' private life.

seems like he re-wrote his will just before he died.
But was divorcing his wife, so understandable that he cuts her out at the time. Doesnt sound like he was such a cad.
3 times married, from a child without attention or love, its a classic pop star upbringing

Well his son tips an absolute bucket on him too.

Note: Paulina was looking after him before he died. They still shared a townhome in NYC.

i'm ok with people going through divorces to want to give an emotional FU to their ex.
seems common to have moments of angst
In general you want them to come through the other side to become normal again. Not going to happen for Ocasek tho.

As a young teen I had a thing for Porizkova until she started dating that song writing skeleton.:ROFLMAO:

I hope Dave and his band are doing OK at Pussy Park tonight. Weather is not good but so isn't that ground.....smells like salt.

Did anyone else on here go? As always loved the Foos live. Easily the best thing to have ever happened at Krapdinia Park. Best performance by a T Hawkins there too. I knew he could sing but geez his vocal range is outstanding. Dave went on the drums and Taylor sang Somebody to Love, and his range was similar to the great Freddie.

Dave confirmed too that they will be doing a full ANZ tour in November. Already itching to get into ticketmaster again.

I was there last night, overall it was a great experience. There were 3 bands, The Meanies who were just ok, was a big wall of noise and they're more of a pub rock band than a stadium one. Said they're playing at The Tote next week and I can see them fitting in there. Amyl & The Sniffers were next who are also a pub band but they made it work and were fill of energy. Amyl is hot as *smile* and a great front chick. And finally the Foo Fighters who are a true stadium band and were awesome, played for 2.5 hours and kept the energy up all night. It was pissing down with rain for most of the night and I was drenched but it was a great show. It was my first time seeing them, I wouldn't call myself a huge fan over the years but besides one or two songs, I knew everything they've played. Probably wouldn't go see them again unless I got a free ticket but it was worth it for the experience and Dave Grohl is an absolute professional, worked the crowd beautifully. They're drummer (who's name escapes me) swapped with Dave for one song and they did "somebody to love" by Queen - Man can that bloke sing!

Edit - just reread your post Mr P and yeah Taylor Hawkins was really impressive.

I'm also off to see Midnight Oil at the Mt Duneed brewery tonight which is also my first time seeing them. Looking like it's gonna be another wet one so Itm chucking my shoes in the dryer now as they were completely waterlogged last night!

I missed the Meanies, it took such a long time to get through the city and down to Geelong, and then who builds a stadium without any freaking car parking!!

I saw Amyl and the Sniffers, as you say, they are a pub band, but IMO sounded much better on stage than on their recordings (which is a good sign of a live band).

I was drenched too, it was my 11th time and they are still as good as ever. I took my 13 year old daughter for the 1st time and she loved it, we were just in front of the towers in the middle of the ground, I wasn't going to take my daughter too much closer as it can be a bit suffocating when you are small in there and wanted her to have a good experience the 1st time.

I knew Taylor Hawkins could sing, but I didn't realise his vocal range was so wide. The perfect person to come on and try and replicate Freddie.

Australian Story tonight on legendary ACDC frontman Bon Scott. Well worth a watch.

Seen it before Oldie. Great story. Wish it was longer. $300 to film Long Way to the Top on a truck down Swanston St. Must've been expensive back then.

Pretty sure this hasn't been on before. His family members have spoken for the first time.
OK, just caught a glimpse on ABC tonight and noticed the boys running around those London pubs in the 70s which were also shown on Countdown before. Must've thought it was a replay of a previous doco. Good stuff I'll watch it tomorrow.

5 years ago today since the mighty Chris Cornell from Soundgarden passed away.

From the first moment I heard this song on Badmotorfinger I thought he was the greatest rock voice I've ever heard.
