And this aint news but It’s always good to be reminded of their misses i.e.

No choke in 2011 Zips. The Scum only lost 3 games all year but all were to the Cats including a 96 point smacking in the final H&A game and an easy 6 goal loss in the GF.

The Cats only lost 3 games all year and all by 13 points or less. They were clearly the best team that year.

But let's throw in 1981 as the replacement choke. 9 points up at 3/4 time in GF and lost by 20 points :))

And let's not forget 44 points up at half time in 1970 GF :rotfl2

Actually that list is not quite right coz it doesn’t include their glorious 2018 capitulation - so let’s make it

Runners Up (27 in total)
1901, 1905, 1911, 1915, 1918, 1920, 1922, 1925, 1926, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1952, 1955, 1956, 1960, 1964, 1966, 1970, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1981,
2002, 2003, 2011 and ...... 2018

and they have won only two (and drawn two) of the sixteen Grand Finals they have appeared in since their 1958 premiership.

That's why Eddie is soooo keen in shortening the game.
How many GF's have they lead or were trailing by under a goal at 3qtr time then blew it again in the last?.
26 defeats in a GF but it really should've been 27 because of the gutless saints.
With all the momentum & chest beating, Stkilda just crumbled again.

If Podsdialy didn't go off, Collingwood would've beaten them

Both after a draw in the finals series and both dated as being in October.
There's no 'one day in September' at Victoria park.

the saddest thing about this list is that the Tigers have only beaten them into second place twice. That is downright below average.
