the balance between "contending and regenerating"
thought we had a shot this year, but unfortunately re reckons 2023 will be harder
in this interview from Jul 2022, Gale remarked that 2023 would be harder than 2022 re list and team performance
albeit, these comments were made before Taranto and Hopper recruits were announced
but i reckon its where we are at. 2022 we were a 5 to 8 ladder position list. 2023 we are a 9 to 12 team list.
unfortunately the older players (cotch and jack) are either well past their best or injury prone (prestia and lynch). our youth are not top 10 draftees (except Gibcus) so we are going to struggle
