I saw enough bits and pieces from him at VFL last year to say he could be an AFL Midfielder with some consistency and application.

Lefau would provide the same pressure that MRJ does plus he has a few other qualities that MRJ doesn’t like overhead ability and being able to pick the ball up off the ground.

I think it's up to the club about how they do it (and that it's mostly in the case where they wanna make clear they haven't *actually* dropped someone). This time around I bet they're waiting to see just how slippery it is & whether it actually rains or not to decide whether they make Samson or Ross the sub

Kids in the team I'm happy with that. Brown and Green unlucky. Cumberland did well in the vfl , but he needs to show more and work for it. A few of those senior blokes picked they have been poor last 2 seasons.

At least Cumbo kicked 3 and had 3 goal assists last week.

Based on this week, I'm guessing they'll never actually name who's the sub, but they'll just name 23 players every week rather than 22 like last year.

I misunderstood what the change would look like.

I feel like there were 3 options I wouldn't be confused by: Steely with his 4 in the praccy, Cumbo for what you've said, and Lefau 'cos surely we brought him in to use him... Instead we end up with someone who's a bit more of an unknown, hopefully the select panel show us just why they're the ones making the decision!

We looked slow last time against Pies.

Most on PRE know I have been very supportive of Junior when he copped a lot of flack last year but geez he didn't do much in the praccy games and overall during the preseason. Let's hope he chases, harasses and kicks some goals to warrant his place in the side.
