TEAM CHANGES - wce

i be happy for hughes or shultz, as long as WHITE and Jackson never wear the jumper again.

Why is that zipper?  They were far from our worst last night.

I agree with Zipper about White. I have no idea why he's playing. He adds absolutely nothing to the team. Terrible disposal, no creativity or flare, gets caught with the ball... Argh.

What are you actually agreeing with? Matty was in the top 5, along with Rance, for most effective kicks last night. 9 out of 10 were effective. That's hardly terrible disposal.

At least Whitey and Jacko will get the hard ball. They don't get a lot of support from the receivers at times.

As posted on another thread, he adds to the team in blocks, shepherds team play etc. All the little things that most posters here *smile* about RFC players not doing. Besides every field kick hit it's target last night lace out. Granted he botched the goal kick on the run, but that doesn't make him deficient overall. His kicking has improved substantially this year. Seems like he's definitely the new whipping boy on here.

Kicking 20 metres to the closest safest target possible isn't what i'd call 'effective'. Both Rance and White panic when they get the ball, and make stupid decisions that ruin our offensive flow.

I agree with Jacko that he's a tough nut and has a lot of upside to go along with his poor kicking, but White? Cmon...

Jackson and White were tied 1st and 2nd for clangers last night.

He had 1 1% last night, and has constantly been in the middle to bottom in our rankings for 1%'s all year.

Jackson is also leading us in Clangers this year at 77. The next worst is McGuane with 46!

Whereas Thomson in his first game had 5.

Your basing your point on last night only, my point is based on his overall performance in the side. That is most likely why he keeps getting a game when others want his head on a platter. He's 9th for 1% this season and missed 5 games or so with injury.

Patience. Harddick or Hinkley will slowly but surely cull the skillless brigade from Punt Road.

OUT: McMahon, Jackson
IN: Hughes, Coughlan

There's nothing to lose in this game, so I figure Hughes at least deserves one chance for the season, and Coughlan is pretty much playing for his career.
McMahon has worn the Richmond jumper for the last time I hope, and Jackson (not just last night, but for about the last 6 weeks) has been in horrendous form and just turns it over too often.

Anybody who is near fit ;D

IMHO Jacko has had clearly his best season, however since he is playing less of the purley negating role I think his form has slipt quite a bit, deserves his spot at this point, however his lack of natural football instincts really show up at times with his slowness . On his clangers I suupose his fans can say "well atleast his getting it" however when you make 70 + in a season thats up near 4 a game.........geez thats a lot of goals for the opposition.

Agreed, I noticed this last night, he wasn't the primary tagger, yet his errors mean he must play the tagging role or he's not really worth having there.

Do we actually have anyone left worthwhile to play - Putt not ready, Schulz cant even comment on that one, Conners has no interest, Browne / Gilligan rookies, Post / Vickery are probably done for the year, Silvestor I think they have seen enough of him. Is there anyone else??? Its shocking that we are in this state.

I will stand corrected, I dont see White win a lot of hardballs and dont see him offer anything when in the centre, except for the run forward of the tap and pump it long inside 50 on the rare ocasion.

My biggest issue with White right at this time is he gets a role on a player each week and constantly gets beat, last night he started on Bateman, Bateman finished with 29 touches, now I honestly dont know what percentage White played on him, however if he started the game on him and has been moved off him Id say he was doing the job he was set out to do.

Honestly admire the way White go's about it, just cant see what he offers other the a good hard 100% commitment

Does it matter who comes in and who goes out? This club is effectively a non-entity in the AFL and there is no sign of anything changing.

Deledio looked pretty sore at the end and I wouldn't be surprised if he misses. Thirsty is out. Cousins in doubt. Graham may have played his last. Ditto Brown whose lack of pace at Subiaco mightbe a huge problem. Assuming Cousins plays.
Maybe, In Collins, Post, Schulz and Vickery.
Out Brown, Cousins, Graham and Thurstfield.

B Polo Mcguane Moore
HB Schulz Rance Edwards
C Collins Jackson Mcmahon
HF Nahas Post Riewoldt
F Newman Vickery Morton
R Simmonds Tambling Tuck
Res Deledio Polak Thompson White
Em Coughlan.

Only saw the game on TV, but I don't know how long he was on Bateman. He was on Hodge for a while, Mitchell at one stage. I thought he was being groomed as a stopper that could sprint off and hurt you the other way but he seems to get a few different match ups each week and not the usual one man per match type role.
Just the way I see it.

Depends how you define hard ball I suppose. Half of Matty's possessions are contested.
