Your concerns over the ethics of this bloke didn't stop you signing on though.
It wasn't a bloke, it was a company. The family trust wasn't the entity that advertised the job role. Only when I signed the formal contract did I see the family trust named as the legal entity I was working for. I thought it was odd but didn't think too much of it at the time.
They paid me my money and stayed with them about 6 months, so I guess if I was that concerned I should have quit. I would say though that I wasn't ripping off the government and by extension the tax payer, they were. If they were.

I don't blame the contractors who had their payrolls processed with tax skimmed through them. They thought they were paying their tax. I paid my tax.
Anyway, I've worked for the banks, I've worked for the oil companies, I've worked for the energy retailers. You could argue all of these guys are evil
