Talking Politics

Fair question. It makes people look into the issue, and hopefully they do some research so they can form their own opinions. It also provides feedback to the government and their policies. We are just so lucky we have freedom of speech and the right to peacefully protest, which I would hate to lose.

Granted, protests can put people out. I was late to the footy once when a bunch of cyclists stopped traffic. Was p!ssed off at the time, but it was clearly a first world problem.
I get why some are protesting for legitimate concerns, but why out the front of a Jewist family owned /started store.
Do these protestors have the same compassion for the Israeli people who where beheaded /shot /burned /raped and that includes babies .

Mods can we please get all the Palestine posts removed. The Palestine thread was closed down because people got upset and begged the mods to shut it down.
Now we have them back here. They’ll argue the same points, then get upset and want the thread closed down again.

I’ve never seen so many people triggered by a man standing for election in another country. Then to make it worse, well not really, they were nearly incoherent and speaking gibberish before he was elected. Then he was elected. Now the poor bastards are trying to outdo one another with who can be the most immature and stupid. There are a fair number of contenders. ;)

It’s like Andy Warhol pop culture. The leftie wokeists don’t want to get left behind. I reckon psychiatrists will do a study on this one day in an effort to work out what chemical imbalance brought this on in epidemic numbers.
It’s never been seen before and I doubt we’ll ever see it’s like again.
And even now, he’s elected, they’re still triggered. Still trying to find something, anything to pin on him. The desperadoes really epitomise their own shortcomings while sitting in judgement of others.
Here’s the thing. Their jibes, insults, innuendoes, lies, rumours and all the other nonsense doesn’t change the election result.
76 million Americans disagree with you. He’s in. Get over it and yourselves :giggle:

No one wants to see death of innocents in any conflict ,but can you tell me how protesting out the front of MYERS helps .
If anything it makes people go against them and there cause...if you can call it that( cause}
Ultimately the people upset at the inconvenience to their shopping are not the target of the protests.

And to argue that the small discomfort the protests cause actually creates animosity at the casue the proetsters are trying to raise awareness about shows exactly how little critical thinking goes on. Is that how you think? You caused me some discomfort so in my anger I will automatically oppose your position?

I think many on here have already made their mind up and are just looking for some sort of juystification for their position.

A bit like the misogynysts with their "Your body, my choice" slogans. They've feel been given some sort of tacit approval through Trumps election.

It's all a bit sad.
