Sydney Stack

Photos from when he was staying at Dimmas. Played 1 decent game all year and people are calling for Marcov to be dropped!

Has to be dropped. Worst on ground again tonight. Just become a turnover merchant. Couldnt remember him fumble or turn it over once last year. Just staggering how poor he has been since last year. Has anyone gone backwards more? Very concerning.

Some very disappointing chases tonight... and that is why he is there.

He can't chase. He looks so unfit its not funny.
Cant kick, can't mark, and worse of them all his handball's go everywhere but a team mate.
They should've left him in Melbourne, so he could compete a mini preseason.
He spends the entire game walking from one side to the other.
We half effort chases.
Its embarrassing to watch.

So far from the young tyro who ironed out Viney.

He's looking pretty much done for 2020 I reckon.

Maybe a run against the Crows or Frockers to rest someone but apart from that he's not deserving of incumbency now.

Dissapointing for mine as I one of his biggest fans love what he can bring, but he's lost the intensity the fire, the desire I think he has the opinion that he proved himself already and hasnt been able to get himself up for it. The mojo is gone and he doesn't look like getting it back this year.

Can't be carried any longer, they are playing him hoping against hope he comes good, but he just isn't.

His spot goes to Markov who makes way from the defence for Broady to strengthen it for the Coasters.

I think he might lack a yard too. Without the tricks we saw early in his first 10 games it doesn't leave much.

Unbelievable Broad goes out but this bloke stays in.
Are they pissed on team selection night.
Stack has been woeful for a 6 weeks now.

Was that the same player?

It's sad seeing him struggle when we were so excited watching him last year. Some were saying he was the best first year player they had seen.

His physical conditioning is no where near where it should be. Needs to strengthen his legs and build a tank. Hope he has the commitment

Dreamtime game. And it was only Essendon. Still, I think it might be Stacky's last hurrah for 2020.

When you look like you are running on the spot at this time of the year it normally means two things -

1. You had an interrupted pre-season
2. Or you bludged during pre-season

Stack has the latter. Problem is it was post round 1 during the shut down of the AFL. He cane back in Round 2 less fit than Lynden Dunn.

Glad we could carry him for Dreamtime, but we’ve reached the stage of the season where it’s time to get serious. And right now, Sydney’s not serious.

Broad back in, Markov forward until Edwards and/or Prestia available.

Confidence looks shot.... reminds me how Butler looked last year, playing nervous .
Needs a spell,..... prefer Higgins ATM if fit.

Like others have said, I reckon it's time for Syd to have a spell.

He just isn't covering enough ground to play full time mid in our system. I suspect some of our issues in the forward are that our mids aren't exploding from the back half when we get the turnover. When we are at our best guys like Prestia, Edwards and Lambett are power running between the arcs whereas at the moment we just don't have the running power we need.

I'm not sure of the immediate solution but it's become obvious that Syd can't provide it. (And I'm a fan)

I'm going counter to all this anti-Stack commentary. In the top two for pressure acts for the 5th week in a row. Doing what the coaches are asking of him. Keep him in, his confidence on the offensive side is slowly coming back.
