Supercoach Bargain Players ?

Bloody hell. That was a disaster.

Yep. Horrible round. 2047. With 10 from Ziebell, 23 from Buddy, 25 from Roughy and a big fat goose egg from Pendlebury. 58 from four guys!! And picked Cheney instead of Hill or Broughton.

Will trade Pendlebury out. Going to miss two to three. That is if everything goes right. The injury looked horrible, wouldn't be shocked if he had done much more once they have a look.

Didak, going to come home like a train. Kicks more then he handballs and the Pies have a great run home.

2166 this week which isn't bad when you consider some of the horrible scores this round. Ziebell (10), Fisher (50), M. Brown (59), Mundy (65) and Newman (70) certainly didn't help.

Looks like I'm going to have to take a chance on Franklin, much as I don't want to; he's the only decent forward I can afford as a straight swap for Ziebell. Also really hoping Krakouer gets back into the Port lineup this week, thoroughly sick of having to rely on Mitch Brown to do anything, he's backup at absolute best...

2166 isn't anything to sneeze about though.

The one who let me down this week (for once) was Gablett (my captain). :'(
If he had one of his 'normal' games I would have got more than the 2410 I got....but I shouldn't complain too much as its still an o.k score.

On your forward dilemma....yeah, Franklin could be a steal though as I can't see him getting worse....another to keep in mind (but is more of a risk) is Barry Hall.
Even with his trials and tribulations this season, he has still had some very good supercoach games and has a history of doing not too bad in the fantasy game. And he's about 25k less than Franklin.
Big risk though.

Another one is Scott Lucas.....another player who has a history of being a good/handy Supercoach performer and since coming back has had some good scores. Cheaper than B.Hall even and 35k less than Franklin.

And last but not least....Robert Murphy.
Has had injuries which have brought his price down (but then that makes him a risk to pick too).

So there are still some handy bargains out there for you to choose from.

What to do with Pendlebury?

Thinking of a swap for Jimmy Bartel. Maybe Adam Goodes. This is a head scratcher.

Depends how many trades you have left and who you have on your bench.
Also, how reliable are Collingwood and their assessment? :don't know

>5 trades I would swap him (and Bartel looked good yesterday as well)
<5 trades and maybe I'd be tempted to hang onto him....but again, it depends who you have on your bench, are there other areas you need to keep the trades for, and is he really out for only a couple of week or maybe more?

I just edged over 2000 points this round. I have too many under-performers! (sound familiar heh heh)
Scott Stevens (defender)
Patrick Dangerfield (midfield)
Franklin (forward)
Ziebell (forward)
what to do with these guys? Ziebell will have to be replaced at some stage. Franklin isn't delivering but his price has plummeted. Stevens and Dangerfield drag my score down. I had 10 players score over 100 but still only managed 2031.

*smile* them off, is what you do! ;D

How many trades you got left?

I'd keep Franklin....you aren't going to get much better for the price he has gone down to now, so why trade him out for a dud?
May as well keep him because there is more upside than the others in the same price bracket.

Ziebell was already going down with his scores and had pretty much peaked in price....so his injury should just determine for people who were uhming and aahing about whether to keep him or not.
Now you know for certain....he has to go.

And as for Dangerfield.....I think in the next 2-3 seasons he may become a good fantasy player but he's just not there yet.
Trade if you can....but you'll have to maybe put a rookie in....then trade out Zieball, and you should have enough to get yourself a gun! :)

I think it has to Franklin, just can't justify getting Hall or Lucas even in good form, just too risky when I'm still in with a slim chance of finishing near the top. Bob Murph's a definite no, can't deal with the possibility of further injuries with limited trades.

Will seriously consider Harvey in for Krak in a couple of weeks if his value continues to drop. Given a few weeks to regain some touch he could be a very handy pickup.

Yeah, I'd probably do the same.....but its a tough one.
Can't say that I'm a big wrap for Franklin in the fantasy game though...but out of Franklin/Hall/Lucas/Murphy....he's probably the 'best of the bad bunch' :-\

I actually had just put Harvey in (and made him captain) when he lined up to play a pitiful Tigers at the Dome earlier in the season...
The rest is history (and my chance at winning it overall :p )......so a good reason why I am back in the top-3000 only :-\

Last season....just traded in H.Shaw into my backline alongside his team mate Didak....no trades left...only a handful of weeks to go but my team had made it into the top-200 overall and was scoring good.
What happens?
Shaw and Didak.....not one of these idiots...but BOTH of them...decide to go for a joyride after being out on the p!ss and then lie about it to Eddie.
The rest is history again...
:cutelaugh

Anyone else got some trading nightmares to share?

Moved into the top 1000 this week. Might be forced to use my remaining trades aggressively to have a chance at the top.

Good luck.

I think I finished about 1500 last year, 26,000th this year ....

You could still improve a lot. Last year at this time I was ranked about 5000 and ended up in the top 100.

Just bad luck with injuries? or?

Geez I dunno. Very slow start but we have all had our issues with injuries. This week lost Pendulbury and Clarke and also Gilbee 50/50.

Liam Anthony finally gets a game :clap

Krakouer back in :D

Buddy in my team for Ziebell :-\. Hate cheering that *smile* on...

Only real decision I have to make is do I stick with Mundy in my backs or bench him for Broughton?

Also not happy with Cox's injury, but it affects nearly everyone I guess, and I've still got Jesse White as backup. Not all bad.

Went into round 13 with 2 zeroes in my 22. Now there's 4 with Davis and Pearce withdrawn in today's game.

Finished up with 2084 from my 18. If they do that again and my other 4 (including Davis, Cox and Drummond) come back could be goo news this week.

I don't get that excited about his scores anymore, nearly everyone has him in their team and as captain as well.
